Overall Experience: Wright State is a very beautiful campus with many great advisors to help you every step of the way, they made me feel prepared for college

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I really like the fact that we have unground tunnels for handicapped people and it's also convenient in the winter. everyone I know that doesn't go to Wright State is really surprised that we have tunnels, they think it is very unique

Overall Experience: I am in love. The dance program is one of the best I have seen. Not many people know too much about it unfortunately. It is a very unrecognized dance program. I have been challenged in many ways and is pushing me in the direction I want to go as a dancer. There are even opportunities and requirements to taking acting and voice lessons to diversify yourself. I am very happy with my decision.

Overall Experience: I am so happy with my final decision on where to go for my undergrad! I was skeptical at first, but once I got into my first semester of classes, the realization hit me that I am learning about what I want to do for the rest of my life. My school is easily the best fit for my passion, which has changed since I applied to universities. Everyone is so accepting there, both students and faculty/staff. It's one massive family in my major, and I could not ask for anything more. The financial situation is also ideal! My school offered me a full ride scholarship, including tuition, room and board, books, etc. None of the other schools that I applied to offered me anything close to the scholarship that I received from my school. I am so grateful for the opportunity to study what I love at a university that I have grown to love!

Overall Experience: The people in disability services are nice, and go out of their way to make people like me feel welcome.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Wright State is a great community based school, with many activities and clubs to join.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Wright State is what you'd expect from a state school.

Overall Experience: The school is just really big, which isn't terrible but it could be better. I feel like it's a little harder for a transfer student because you have to really get in and get to know professors and try to make some friends. It's a pretty well known for being a transfer/ commuter school which makes it nice for me since I'm also a transfer student. The parking is pretty bad though. You have to get to school at least an hour early because most days it takes 20-30 min to find a parking spot.

Other than that the staff and professors are very friendly and try to make themselves available to students when they can.

Off-Campus Dining: It's the same foods and some places close early. Eventually it gets tiring eating the same thing. Though this is so, Wendy's does do discounts for students. WO's I guess is okay. Everyone goes there .

Administration: In a way, the school is not as strict as it may seem. There really is not much to be strict about. Everybody pretty much knows what to do and what not to do, and know the rules.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: As long as you fill out your FAFSA, you should be fine. For me, I got the aid but sometimes WSU likes to overcharge and things so it becomes difficult.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The food is not the best. I only eat it when I need to quickly eat something or I'll use a vending machine. The food that is pre packaged is kinda dull. The meal plan I did have was better compared to this past school years.

Campus Housing: I literally love living on campus. It is such a great experience. The dorms are very close to campus and is like somewhat of a little town. The apartments are better and more spacious with a washer and dryer inside and including stoves and such.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: never applied for financial aid at wright state

5 College Freshman

Campus Food: food is great never had a problem with it

2 College Junior

Academics: Got a minor in my major at my previous college and comparing it to WSUs its like comparing a Porche to a FIAT. the College of Liberal Arts has way too many requirements, sometimes I feel like I am taking classes to fill these requirements not to help me in the real world, like 4 semesters of a foreign language. The teachers in the program are ok but the head of the major and advisors suck. I do not take classes sometimes specifically for criminal justice, sometimes having to take psychology, sociology, or political science classes that barely touch on the criminal justice system.

Academics: Teachers a great for the most part. They want to see you succeed and do well. Class load is a bit more than i experienced at another school though, but quite a few instructors offer extra credit & do take home tests. while scheduling classes use ratemyprofessor.com because some teachers have bad reputations or are very hard.

Campus Quality: Imo campus is pretty ugly but a lot of green space. There are a lot of places to study but often are not quiet, especially the library. The gym has nice equipment but is really small. WSU has plenty of modern facilities with great technology. Ive heard performing arts and science/research lab are awesome but that's not really things I experience being a criminal justice student.
