Wichita State has so much campus history! Some buildings, like Wilner Auditorium, are so old that they are haunted with old faculty members. Some buildings are named after very wealthy people, and others after professors, deans, or other faculty. The buildings are beautiful. In every building there are pictures of Wichita State's history and the buildings history. Wichita State is in the process of renovating some of the buildings and making them bigger and more suitable for the students. There is always something going on around campus. You just have to check the campus board! We are building a new freshman dorm building on campus. But the cool thing is that any student will be able to use the café, restrooms, computer lab, printers, and gym.

Shocker Hall dining is the best! There's a wide variety of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Late night is more limited but the other buffet style meals aren't. Everything is always cooked properly and the kitchens are kept very clean. There's also a decent variety of desserts every day for each meal.

SH Dining Hall is fairly popular and I've noticed people who aren't even students show up just to each before heading to work. It's open on weekends which is a bonus when compared to Fairmount and also functions on most holidays.

DIVERSITY

It's okay but there are lots of young 19 yrs old kids in my classes! The students are a bit full of themselves and can be for the most part a bit cliquish, and stay within there own races. There isn't much diversity in the way of other races hanging out. If you are black (like me) and don't belong to a sport, or an ethnic club you are largely ignored by the general student body.

SCENE

There is NO party scene the students are either WAY TOO YOUNG, they have families, or they are homebodies. Again if you are not from the same race you will be, for the most part ignored.

CLASSES,PROFESSORS

The classes are big but thin out by midterm, but the classes are still big enough to not have the personal attention a smaller college, this is a huge campus though. The

professors, at least in the art dept., are nice but of course you have the pretentious few.
