Campus Food: I love the food at the Campus Bar and Grill! Its the best!

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: I do not live in the dorms, but everyone who does loves it!

Academics: It's okay. That's really all there is to say about it.

5 College Senior

Academics: Most of my professors have been reasonable and human about assignments, homework, topics, and curriculum. There are some that I have had that were whack and very strict about keeping students inside a box (Only wanted 200 word essay, but 205 and you'd need to redo the assignment)...but for the most part instructors are good.

Campus Quality: Mapping and walking around it is a mess, but it's not bad to look at.

Local Area: I would love it if there were a Cheesecake Factory and a few more places to add to the nightlife; that would be safe. The Wichita area could use a bit more fun, but overall the city is more like a big small town where people are generally friendly and try to help out in the community.

Guys & Girls: They seem nice. Most people dress appropriately when the weather is nice, and even when the weather is not so nice.

Overall Experience: As a transfer student to this school, it was hard to find places to fit in because most students do not live on campus, clubs and activities and how to join them seem hard to find, or find time when people are also working. The classes and price are decent and the Wichita area is good, except they do not offer discounts for students anywhere. I would choose this school again for some of the interesting classes offered; like Magic, Witchcraft, and Religion, Forensic Anthropology and mock crime scenes, and some amazing instructors that teach these subjects.

Overall Experience: I was a transfer student. So, socially coming here with new professors who already met other students it was a bit difficult to get their attention. However, in my department they open up to new students quickly if they show interest and really wish to get involved. Class sizes are great once you get the general educations out of the way; even so, the larger classes (100+) are not bad, I just think the seating is uncomfortable in the lecture halls to be sitting in for more than an hour.

Overall Experience: I'm getting a degree in Anthropology; which I feel would have greater prospects if I continued to grad school for the biological anthropology focus. The Anthropology department really just relays on itself to help students find work or internships, and if so, they talk more to the grad students than undergrad and just assume everyone will go to graduate school. I will be attending mortuary school when I finish with this degree.

Health & Safety: WSU will send out crime alerts; especially for any type of sexual assault or intrusion to attempt to find suspects. If someone is being sexually harassed on campus, people are not too friendly about it.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: I'm a Non-Greek, so my review is not all that accurate. I know they have charter houses, but the most of the Greeks do not actually live in the houses, they just use them for meetings, parties, and parking for certain Greeks.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: In Wichita, you can always find someplace to live and it still won't be that far from the university. It takes me 15 minutes to get to WSU driving; when it comes to safety it just depends on if you want proximity versus safety/food/cost.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: I have yet find any eating establishment that offers student discounts. Variety is average to any city, but there are still some places that need to be explored, I'm sure.

4 College Senior

Administration: They do their jobs pretty effectively. No real complaints.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: They always send emails to help students apply for scholarships and they have scholarships just for living in the county and graduating from a Kansas high school that all you have to really do is apply for them. So that's nice.

2 College Senior

Party Scene: Most students live off campus; I am one of them. So if there are any parties, most of the students probably aren't invited. Parties are for clubs and activities or if there is a basketball game.

3 College Senior

Campus Food: I mean the food is good and they make it like the places off campus, but it is basically the same prices, no deals, and I feel I really only stay to eat between classes just so I don't lose my parking spot.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: The parking has become a disaster. The bus system was helpful when parking was free and the new dorms were being built, but now the way the stops are determined if you pay for parking on the outskirts of the campus and just want a lift closer to classes, all those that come from the parking lots where they didn't pay for a parking pass fill the bus and push off the ones that do pay.

College Junior

Campus Housing: WSU just built a brand new dormitory (rather expensive though) which is very nice indeed. This swanky dorm is just off from the middle of campus, making it one "just one of the buildings," which, I imagine, would be extremely convenient to get anywhere on campus. To make my point, it's easily a 180 second walk to the nearest lecture hall.
