Overall Experience: I love this school. Academically it is the best choice for me. I

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: It seems to have a good career center. I haven't started looking, so I don't know.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: The campus is trying to be more open to student input, but there have been serious problems with enforcement and support.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Sports aren't really a focus here.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love my school. I chose a small liberal arts college for small class sizes and a tight knit community. I found all that and more. I really feel like I can thrive here.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Westminster provides an extremely welcoming atmosphere.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love how small the class and campus is. It really provides a feeling of community. It is very homogenous and there's lots of rich kids though. The professors know their stuff and are really approachable.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: They act like they have a handle on it because of the Title IX coordinator, but there are many unreported sexual assaults.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: It was great to live on campus because you got to meet people, but it is so incredibly overpriced. Apartment style housing was nice, but shoving 6 people into a small space like that is a bad idea. Everyone who lived in traditional dorms seemed like they had a more fun and authentic experience that had less drama.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: No one really pays attention to the athletics here.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Westminster is nice because it's so small. You get a good connection with not only your peers, but also your professors. School events are fun because you know everyone and you're in a tight knit group.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The school as a whole is very passionate about athletics and school spirit. I am not a huge fan of sports personally but there is something for everyone here no matter what you're interested in.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I have yet to even start classes yet, but from spending time on campus, speaking with counselors and other students, and hearing testimonies of students, parents, and faculty about the school I just know that it is going to be a perfect fit for me. I decided that Westminster was the school for me a few years ago and over the years I have only grown to love everything about it even more.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: It's an extremely diverse campus, people from all over the world attend Westminster!

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There's always going to be a few people doing things on any campus, but here it's almost non-existent. Students are here to learn, not party. Those who are here to party, are swiftly kicked out.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Everything here is amazing. I've said earlier- it's the best school. It provides a healthy, competitive environment that promotes critical thinking and active involvement. Classes are engaging, easy to balance, and of the highest quality. The professors are passionate and work to ensure your success. They offer a variety of different major's and minors for everyone's interests. Class sizes are extremely small and interactive. Westminster is the place for students who want to make a difference.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: A degree from Westminster sets you apart from others - people know that you are prepared and go above meeting qualifications. Westminster provides tons of opportunities for internships and works with a variety of companies to help graduates get jobs. (Such as being partnered with Goldman - Sachs, the Utah Opera, and more!)

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel extremely safe. Campus patrol does an amazing job, they even escort you home if you don't want to walk alone. They are seen regularly patrolling campus. There's almost no crime, other than an occasional roommate stealing another's left-overs out of the fridge. Campus Administrators are easily approachable about any issue, and work swiftly to deal with any concerns. I've never had a problem, everything is safe and cozy.

Campus Housing: Everything is pretty great as far as Campus housing. They need to update their ADA rooms a bit (the buildings are old) but overall it's an amazing experience living on campus. I always feel safe walking home at night, and everything is just a quick 2-5 minute walk away! Floor RA's always plan activities for each building, so everyone gets a chance to connect and meet new people. They have great events like movie nights, costume parties, and Smore's night!

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Olympic Skiers, World class soccer, the sports teams are amazing. School spirit is always high, and support from the surrounding community is great! Westminster is partnered with Snowbird, so there's tons of options for people to get away from a hike, or hit the slopes for an afternoon. The Athletic center also can help hook you up with equipment or travel planning . The center also has a gym, a pool, and is a great environment for a workout.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Westminster is a school for those who want to make a difference. It's a school that propels you forward and helps you succeed in your desired field. Professors are involved and approachable. They care about you; you're more than just a number. Class sizes are small too; they average is about 18 per class! Although the cost of tuition is high, the payout is well worth it.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Most of the nights students will hang out in common spaces instead of going out.

5 College Freshman

Academics: Westminster takes education seriously, and that makes it easier for students to focus on their work.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Although Westminster lacks in the number of non-white students, those who are People of Color are treated fairly and with respect. LGBT+ people are also treated as equals.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: The policies on drugs differ once a student hits 21 years of age, because then the school allows them to have alcohol in their personal space(s). The policy on Marijuana never changes.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Westminster offers a great overall experience, with most students appreciating their time spent at the College. The faculty is awesome, and the classes are really interesting. Plus, Salt Lake City is a really cool place in which to live and study. Come to campus prepared to ski and snowboard!

The most common issue people have is with the school's size. It is a very small campus, where everyone knows most everyone. It does not have the same feeling as a huge university. Some people attend Westminster out of necessity and proximity from home, but it still often ends up being a great choice for them. Westminster's reputation is continually getting better, and the College is becoming a more well-known school.
