Campus Quality: They are always adding and updating the buildings. There are a lot of computer labs and libraries.Campus if fairly large, but everything can be walked to within 15 minutes. The hill will keep you in shape, but you can also take a bus all around campus.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Quality: The campus is always well kept with a lot of outdoor space. I always see people outside playing games, sports, or just hanging out. It is easy to find a nice spot to sit and relax or study.

Campus Quality: The dorms could use some updating but campus is constantly growing and improving aesthetically. There is a greath athletic center on campus, the new student center just opened, theres plenty of green space to relax outdoors, and theres always something to do. It's great to see people you know all over campus, and its great to see alumni that are eager to come back year after year for events like homecoming.

WKU is constantly adding new buildings or updating old facilities to add even more to the attractiveness and appeal of the University. The current facilities are already great, and although the buildings are a little older, the library and student center still meet the students' needs.

The new projects are even better. All of the residence halls have been remodeled in the past 10 years. The fitness center is new, amazing, and state-of-the-art. Van Meter Hall has reopened, after extensive renovations, and a new science/technology building called Snell Hall recently opened, as well. In terms of athletics, one side of the football stadium was just redone. Plus, they are putting the finishing touches on a new building for the education program. The list goes on and on and on, and there are new projects constantly being added to this list. WKU is really getting better all of the time, with tons of new buildings and awesome facilities and technology, and still at a really reasonable state-school price!

Favorite Things To Do
Western students love to be outside whenever the weather permits. Campus is gorgeous and provides lots of grassy areas for games of football, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, etc., or for studying or just hanging out and chatting outside. Other than that, many students hang out in the lobby of their residence hall or in the rooms of friends.

Clubs and Organizations on Campus
Students are encouraged from the moment they step on campus to get involved in organizations and activities. Many students do, and those students are often the most satisfied with their college experience. There are so many choices, from political to sports to religious to Greek. The religious organizations are especially big on Western's campus.
Students are definitely encouraged to start new organizations or clubs if one is not available. The student government offers money to clubs and organizations to help them!
