4 College Freshman

Campus Food: I like all the foods items to be honest. It can also be annoying because you eat it all day everyday. So usually I eat out a couple of times and then I have my own personal food in the dorm to eat as well. But overall, its reasonable prices because its all on the swipe card given to you at the beginning of the August.

Campus Food: There is a wide variety of choices for lunch but for dinner the only thing open is the downing food court and the tower food court. Garret food court should be open for dinner as well. They options they give you at dsu are not particularly healthy. I wish they offered some other side item besides French frys. If they gave you the option to switch them to fruit, that would be ideal. Also, they should have more drink options. More juice or teas would be a very nice change.

Campus Food: Overall, the food is okay. There aren't enough healthy options.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There are a lot of options on campus, but it can still seem monotonous some days. Finding seating can sometimes be an issue during peak meal times in some locations (especially lunch at the top of the hill). You can only use 4 meal plan swipes per day, and your week of meals roll over on Sunday, so try to use all of your meal plans before midnight on Sunday (sometimes this takes planning since you can only use four per day). The WKU app allows you to monitor how many meal swipes/meal plan dollars/dining dollars/Big Red dollars you have left, which is really helpful.

Campus Food: So tired of the same foods

One of the first things many students want to know about the campus is the quality of food. WKU has many options that are sure to please pretty much anyone. On campus, students can find sandwiches, pizza, burgers, buffets, homestyle cuisine, burritos, pasta, chicken, sushi, and more! Vegetarians and carnivores alike can always find something delicious to eat.

At each place, there are certain combinations that are on a meal plan. For example, at Subway, students can get a sandwich, drink, and apples, chips, or two cookies.  At Izzi's, students get a burrito, chips, and a drink. The downside is, unless you have a meal plan, the food can get a little pricey. Without a meal plan, combinations can cost $5 to $6, but nothing costs more than what students would normally pay in a restaurant. Of course, at the end of the semester, even the best places can get a little old, and the most delicious places are often the most unhealthy, but, in general, even the pickiest eater can agree that WKU outshines many other places when it comes to dining.
