WGU is geared toward the student who is self-reliant, technologically capable, and dedicated to their success in completing a degree program. All colleges and universities have course work, exams, and professors; so does WGU. Pre-assessment exams allow a student to determine if studying is needed, or whether they know enough to take the final exam right away. Although each semester will have at least 12 units assigned which must be passed, taking and passing additional finals for more courses allows a student to complete more courses in a semester. There is a flat tuition fee per semester, so the more courses passed, the lower the cost per course and the faster a student can complete a degree. This is an awesome way to be in school!

WGU has a success rate of 27%. This does not seen fair but some of it has to do with the students willingness and dedication. I have found that not all content is covered in some courses. Since online is becoming the new norm, all the missing information needed is actually online.

Another thing that is different from traditional schools is that Face-to-face interaction has been taken away but I think the key is to communicate a lot. For example, video conferencing or Skyping should be utilized more. Chat rooms have helped a bit as well to get the feeling of other students present in the class or course. Also, WGU coursework is constantly under review and always needs improvement. Student feedback on everything is the key to future students' success everyone should be actively submitting productive feedback. This would increase the success rate!

Overall, i would rate this school at a 7 out of 10 but I lack the experience of other online schools to truly rate it.

Mentors, live webinars, and recorded videos are excellent and very proffessional. Very student oriented. All available to help you succeed. Self paced but course mentors and your mentor available at your convenience. Very different from other colleges where they take your money and don't care if you succeed. In fact may have incentive to fail you so they get you to spend more time and money. They feel if too many pass then they have not orovided adequate challenge. god forbid you learn something and pass, after all that is what you paid for, right! Just saying they value the student as the customer and provide an excellent product. Where the more traditional colleges, take my money and then act like they are doing me a favor for doing their job. I have been amazed at the lack of service at these other colleges when so much competition exists. However, most lack in customer service so there is no competition. But this is where WGU excells and
