4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Again, I'm just starting my program, but I've talked to other students that have said the career prospects are very good and the degree is well respected.

Academic Experience: I'm just starting but the program seems well designed and comprehensive from what I've seen so far.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Everyone I've interacted with at WGU has been friendly and helpful!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The name WGU itself won't open any doors. This school is good to get a bachelors to tick off that HR checklist and you can finish your degree as fast as you have the knowledge to do so. You also don't have to go thousands into debt to finish it.

Academic Experience: A bachelors in IT isn't exactly the best thing for this industry, but the fact you come away with several certifications is what really makes this shine.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Its a great school to get your bachelors out of the way. The name won't be opening any doors, but you can finish your degree quickly and it won't leave you in a hefty student loan debt. The school isn't looked down upon like other online schools. If you're a self starter, can motivate yourself and don't need a ton of teacher assistance, this is a great school.

Online Courses: Online courses are convenient and flexible. The only drawback is you have to stay motivated on your own.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Becoming a certified teaching has a lot of extra things to do outside of classes. The state requires a lot of extra work from a person to become certified and get clearance to be a teacher.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: WGU is a great way to advance your career and it is affordable and flexible.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: It's literally the most flexible academic experience any one could ever have.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: So far I've only done the management portion. Excited to start the IT section soon.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It is great that I can get my education and keep the job I love at the same time. The classes I take really help me out!

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: This school is very flexible and everyone who works there is incredibly friendly!

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Internship is not really applicable to education, but the student teaching will really give you a real-life experience (almost on the job training, depending on the teacher you are working with...mine was amazing!) for what it is like to be in the education field.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: By not being in a traditional classroom, college feels like a one on one tutoring session. The only downside is that if one enjoys the stimulation of classroom discussion (and classmates' personalities), it is easy to feel isolated. This wasn't much of a problem for me.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Flexibility has been amazing...you can work completely at your own pace. The downside to this, is that if one is not careful, it is SUPER easy to procrastinate and then later have to cram to meet term deadlines!

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Mentors are there to help you succeed! I've never had a bad experience with any I've worked with at WGU. They come across as dedicated to your success, no matter what the course you are taking. With all the preparation for real life/career experience in this degree, students come away with a very good prospect on a career. If they don't, it is the student's fault, not the mentors'!

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: You work at your own pace. Mentors call you weekly. They help you reach your goals. Perfect with my full-time work schedule.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The school is very unique in that the classes are around your schedule. The MBA can be completed within a year if one is determined and have the background. They pay via the semesters one is on, not the amount of classes taken. Very self paced.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The classes are availble 24 hours so i could complete them at my leisure time. A very convienent system. I did not have experience with transferring credits.
