3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I live on campus and it is an on campus school, so I am not to aware with the conveniences of off campus places.

4 College Sophomore

Local Area: We have many on campus activities to always choose from. Although, not that many off campus options. Campus is very safe, full hour security. Campus is always extremely beautiful and clean.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are many varieties, types, religions, nationalities, and beliefs on campus. I think we all just learn to accept each other the way we are and appreciate that we are all different people.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: We have a wonderful group of students on campus. There are many friendly, intelligent students that work very hard. Wesleyan has a very wide range of kids, from scientists to artist. We have such amazing students, professors, and employees at Wesleyan.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Buckhannon is a nice small town. There isn't a lot to do on the weekends but there are a few options.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Wesleyan is great and I couldn't have asked for a better school experience.

4 College Junior

Administration: We live on a very laid back campus. Rule violations don't seem to be a huge problem.

5 College Junior

Majors: I have three majors that all revolve around art. My professors have been great about working with me to juggle the three majors.

5 College Junior

Majors: The art program is amazing. The small student to teacher ratio makes one on one help available most of the time. All of the art professors work together to make sure students are getting a well rounded education and that they will be competitive artists once they graduate. The art department also takes trips to museums and other places, such as a three day trip to NY.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The housing isn't bad. Many of the buildings have been renovated. Premium housing is very expensive.

3 College Junior

Diversity: The student population is fairly diverse, however, there isn't a wide variety of cultures represented. Beyond African Americans and some Asians, there aren't many other cultures represented on our campus.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: We have mostly fast food options. There are a lot of chain restaurants to choose from though.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: Most of the buildings and facilities on campus are really nice and have a lot to offer. Some of the dorms are a little run down and could use a renovation.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: We are a very small campus and because of the low student to teacher ratio, students can get a lot of one on one attention.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: The Greek life on campus is very involved in the community.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Because we have such a small campus, there is always something going on within ear shot. Everyone is welcome to join any activity, and our entertainment director brings in GREAT things every weekend. We love the outdoor beauty of the campus and do a lot to preserve it. The emphasis on community service reflected by our school is evident in every organization on campus, as well as the students that organize service projects.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Wesleyan really is a community. Entering as a freshman here was one of the smoothest transitions; everyone treats you like family. The professors are genuinely interested in you and meeting the needs of your education. Our campus events are out of this world (bull riding, aqua massage, a mini zoo, etc), so there is never a dull moment.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: We don't really have a problem with safety or security. Campus life is respected, and we all look out for each other. Though the security guards are about 70 years old, so I'm not sure they'd be much help in an emergency. The health center isn't too hot either. They offer a lot of services, but have limited hours and rarely adhere to those hours. It's cheap to go to, though, when you can get in.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Most students participate in Varsity sports, and that is reflected in class structure, facilities, and dining hours. Many students choose to go to sporting events held by the school, as well as create their own events on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Local Area: Though there is not much to do indoors, the town and surrounding areas are full of things to do with friends. Locals are more than happy to give advice or suggestions of things to do or places to go as well.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Frat houses mainly for underclassmen, then to the bars like Club Bobcat and Whistle Stop when you get older. You can walk everywhere, but DDs are needed for safety.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel completely safe on campus. While there are fights and problems, most occur at the frat houses adjacent to campus.

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I wish they allowed us to live off-campus, but only through beating the system can you.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: If you like anture and outdoors, this is a great fit. There is limited stuff to do, but programs on campus like OUtdoor Rec really help out. Also, just going out and exploring will give you a lot of stuff to do.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: You can walk everywhere on campus, and to most of the amenities on main street. However, cars are useful to get to campus since it is isolated. However, parking is limited. You will want a car to travel to local sites like Sago, Audra, or up to the Bridgeport, Clarksburg and Morgantown areas.
