3 College Sophomore

Technology: We are all required to bring a laptop, and without one you would be lost. The inernet is slow and unreliable, but it is there. The entire campus has wifi acess. I'd reccommend bringing a printer, but there is free printing in the library and Sunnybucks. However, they recently added a limit that few reach. Just be smart when printing powerpoints.

Majors: Majors do not typically have an admission process, aside from Athletic Training and Nursing. Some majors just have requirements for GPA. Try not to get behind in classes, because that will hurt you int he long run.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: The biology program is amazing. The faculty really try to make you feel at home, and help you out more than many other science majors. Also, they are great in helping with your internship and research requirements to graduate.

Diversity: While in the heart of a very homogenous state, WVWC does try to up its diversity. Many of the athletic teams have several international students, and I know people from England, Australia, Belgium, France, Italy, Africa, Japan, Korea, Ireland, just to name a few. There is a gay/lesbian club on campus and there is some variety in religion. Politics aren't really a big thing on wesleyan's campus.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Wesleyan is an expensive private insitution, and they keep raising tuition. However, they do their best with helping you find scholarships. Don't expect a full ride academically or athletically, but they do give many options to lower your cost.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I would definitely choose Wesleyan again. I am an athlete, and the faculty is great about understanding my schedule and helping me out. I feel at home here.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There are more females than males here. Relationships are common and there are a lot of places to meet someone. Casual dress is very common, mostly people wear jeans and t-shirts or sweats. However, we all like to dress up sometimes.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: People come to Wesleyan because they are intelligent and want a challenge. It is a difficult school, but you will be prepared for a career or grad school.

Off-Campus Dining: WVWC is in a small town, so there aren't a ton of dining options. However, the dining options there are mostly locally owned or small chain, aside from some fast food and newer options. You may have to look around for some places, but overall there are a lot and many offer student discounts, even the fast food places. CJ Maggie's, Audrey's, Las Trancas, Hometown Market, Market Bistro, Hillbilly Grill, and BWWs are the favorites. Taco Bell just came to town as well.

Administration: Campus visitations are pretty lenient and the campus police usually don't get on your case and are pretty helpful. I feel safe on campus though. The only realt campus strictness comes from strict RAs.

3 College Sophomore

Technology: WVWC does a great job of helping the students have access to computers and software, nut could really use some improvements in the network reliability in all of the buildings.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The diversity on campus is not huge, but I believe that our administration does a good job of bringing in diverse things such as the international fair that give the students a taste of different lifestyles.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: It really is enjoyable to take some time off and go watch some of the varsity sports, whether it be football, basketball, baseball or any of the other ones that we have on campus. I believe it helps you get involved on campus and it is a great way to make friends.

Campus Housing: The housing is really nice. Both standard and premium housing are clean and Campus Life Residents are always available when you need them.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The scholarships that are available through this college are wonderful. Half of my tuition was paid by just one scholarship that they offered me!

3 College Freshman

Weather: The weather affects each student greatly. Winter seems to be the worst for students because we still have to walk across campus in the cold, snowy weather. Most teachers never cancel class because each building is close together. During Fall and Spring time, the campus is beautiful to look at! It's the best part of being here at campus because it's so breath taking.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The Health offices on campus are wonderful. They have great hours and are always available when you need them. Security always help you within 5-10 minutes of your call. They're very helpful!

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Most students that attend this college are part of some type of athletic team. I believe athletics play a major role on campus which brings each student closer together.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: On campus, diversity is a key role. Every student is accepting towards one another and work well with each other.

3 College Freshman

Technology: The internet seems to be very slow at times when a lot of students are on them.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: The sororities have suites in the dorms. They do not have different on or off campus housing. The fraternities each have housing of their own, but members are not required to live in the houses. Members can chose to live in the dorms. There isn't pressure to join, if you choose not to, it's okay. While pledging, students are required to spend some time in the library studying. Can't go wrong there.

4 College Freshman

Technology: I gave my own laptop and I have not had any trouble. There are computers available for students to use.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The campus supports all of the sports team.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: Various college sponsored activities. Greek Life sponsored activities. Different sports clubs offer events.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are several places in town to go for food. Sit-down burger places, organic coffee dining, fast food, and pizza restaurants.all the restaurants welcome students and families.
