Greek Life: I really don't know too much about it. I am not in the Greek Life.

Campus Quality: It is really clean. Everyone is always ready to help you and very friendly. We have work study programs that are very helpful. It lets you work in your major's department. It is very easy to make friends. Campus life is very convenient. We have PRT (Personal Rapid Transportation) which takes you all over the campus. Free transportation. The professional staff is always ready to help you.

Campus Quality: We have the best athletic center. The libraries are open for the convenience of the students. Student services are always available. Football is a tradition. The football team is the Heart of West Virginia. Singing "Country Roads" ramdomly and having everyone around you join in. It's the best.

Administration: We have bag check at night before you can enter the dorm. Also if you are intoxicated they keep you until a friend of roommate can get you and look after you. You also get warnings.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I have the best experience in the dorms. They have all the conveniences within the building. The housing process is very easy. Everyone is friendly.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: We have the best football team ever. Our team has fans from all over the country. As far as school support they have it all.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: We have quite a lot of different restaurants and fast food places that are very convenient. They also accept our cards from the university for dining. Quodoba, Burger King, and a variety of healthy food places are available.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: We have three different security on campus. The campus police, state police and city police. It is very safe and secure.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I received my financial aid without a problem. They are very helpful in the process. Any questions that I have they can answer.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: This university is the best. I love it here. Everyone gets along not matter what their race, religion or ethnic background is.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: I work in the dorms as a RA and I like my job and where I live personally. The buildings are slowly being updated since some are decades old and show their age a bit, but they still function very well and students seem to like them.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: My dad has been very helpful when it comes to assisting me with the financial aid application process and such, but I know many people who do not have that kind of wisdom to help them struggle with figuring out financial aid.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: As a whole campus is safe, it just comes down to not being in dark places alone at night where not a lot of people are. Some crime happens, but that occurs in most cities.

Majors: My program has been great over the years. It prepares you for most of the careers people choose to go into after they graduate and I would do it all over again if given the choice. However, the one down falls is the class choices we were not offered. The program is well aware MANY students in Ex Phys apply to PT school, and most of them now require and anatomy and a physiology class with a lab (not all schools accept Ex Phys with a lab for the physiology requirement). A lot of us have to take expensive anatomy courses and such with labs elsewhere since only Athletic Training majors can take that course at WVU. That is one of the main things I would want to see changed.

4 College Senior

Majors: I was directly admitted, so I personally had no problems with it. I'm not sure if there were GPA criteria or anything of that kind.

4 College Senior

Diversity: I see a wide range of people on campus who genuinely come from all over the world.

4 College Senior

Campus Food: For serving the amount of students they do, I think the dining halls do a fine job. Like I said, I'm not very picky and I like the buffet style they offer.

4 College Senior

Academics: Overall there are numerous options for people to chose a major and at any time people can switch from one to another. The workload depends on the classes people are taking and how much effort they are willing to put in, but as a whole it is nothing that can't be done.

4 College Senior

Academics: I'm an Exercise Physiology major and in general I do like the major. I'm very intrigued by fitness and the human body which is why I enjoy the material we cover, however some of the classes definitely require a large amount of work due to the layout of the material. If someone wants to enter this major I'd be prepared for a lot of work once you hit junior year.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Everyone is pretty accepting of all races and sexuality. Diversity isn't that big

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are so pretty good restaurants on high street like chaang thai, pita pit, panera and tailpipes burgers. Pretty good variety and fairly inexpensive

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: I love going to football and basketball games! So much energy from students

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I'm only a sophomore but my freshman year was the best year of my life. I met so many great people and made a lot of wonderful memories. I absolutely 100% am glad I chose this school, I love the pride everyone has and I am proud to be a mountaineer

Off-Campus Housing: There are a trillion places to live off-campus but you really need to research before you settle on a place.

2 College Junior

Administration: If you live in a dorm, your RA runs your life. However, outside of the dorm the only things you have to worry about are the police and parking authority. Mostly parking authority.

Overall, students have made it pretty clear that they are really enjoying their time at WVU. Looking back through this book, it can be seen that WVU has garnered many high grades for subjects such as social scene, academics, and athletics. It is clear that there are many things the school excels in. The aforementioned are huge parts of campus life at WVU, and the students have said nothing but good things about them. While there were many high grades, there were a few grades that show the University could still improve in certain areas. It is clear that the campus dining services are not doing a great job pleasing the students, nor is the parking situation on campus. Considering these are two pretty important things on a college campus, the University should quickly take the right steps to move those two issues into a positive direction.

The attitude at WVU seems pretty split between academics and social events. While most students attend WVU with the expectation of a great education, there are a select few who come to WVU because of the potential party scene. Either way, WVU offers something for each side. With each incoming class comes the promise to improve upon faults and provide students with the best possible experience and education. The athletics program is on the rise and on the verge of gaining national prominence. The academic programs are showing promise as more WVU graduates are gaining recognition for their accomplishments. WVU is a student-oriented university, and should be considered by incoming freshmen who want to be treated to a great college education and experience.
