5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I love creating my schedule and have time for school, work and family time. All classes offered at reasonable times.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I have not really seen many career services in school.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Classes at West Valley are great! Reasonable class sizes, but I dislike that classes can get cancelled with low enrollment. The professors are awesome and teach very well.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Universities visit the campus occasionally, but lots of great schools come on college day. Wish we had more university visits throughout the year.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: The Spanish department at West Valley is the best! Even though it is 2 and a half hours, those 2 hours are not a waste o time. The instructors know their subject well and the Spanish program at West Valley really boosted my interest in majoring in Spanish.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: West Valley College has been an amazing school! All the staff that I have met really care about the subject and want their students to succeed. The campus is beautiful and the food is amazing. I love my college experience because I have been able to meet amazing friends and classmates.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: There are plenty of sections offered for most course. Ive never heard of a course being full for anyone who is trying to schedule on their registration date. If you wait though, courses can fill up. Also, some elective courses like music and art get canceled frequently due to lack of enrollment.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: The online courses are all very different depending on the professor. Some are very easy to get an A but you don't need to read the book or anything so you don't learn much while others can be a little more intuitive.

4 College Freshman

Career Services: I have not reached post-grad level here yet but there is a great Transfer Center to prepare you to transfer

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Profs are generally easily available, and there are plenty of courses to prepare you to transfer or get your AA

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: This is a great to school to use as a stepping stone.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Relatively easy classes to pass but challenging to get an A.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love it here! The staff are open and approachable.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I am a very busy person, so flexibility has been something I have forced myself into. Doing 2 sports, taking 14 units, and being in a club with a leadership position, I have had to schedule around classes.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Personally, I don't like taking online classes, but I can see why some people would take them.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The courses I've taken are all pretty great. My classes have been fairly small, which I enjoy. There is also a wide variety of classes to choose from too.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: As this is a community college, I don't think many people would take it too seriously.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Seeing as this is a community college, I assume that this is not the best any college can offer, but for the quality of teachers, it really is good.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: In the beginning I did not want to go to West Valley, but now that I am there and involved in many different things, i really enjoy it. The sports, the teachers, classes, everything.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: A lot of great teachers are available for different times and days for a course.

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The online course I have taken was very easy and straight forward.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: Job prospects are at campus and the career center is very attentive when you meet with them which is nice.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: A communications class is required for sure but it helps everyone along the way with communication skills.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are always people around campus who talk about how important it is to get an education and there is always someone to answer any question you might have about your career/major.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The counselors are very helpful.
