5 College Senior

Overall Experience: West Valley has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. That itself is an understatement.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: West Valley College has a lot to offer, with friendly faculty and staff, great academics, fun people, and much more. Never hesitate to ask help because there is literally always someone to help you one way or another.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: I've only really been involved in extra-curricular activities on my campus for the past 4 months but people here don't strike me as generally super friendly, hard-working, or smart.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am currently on FA that is covering my entire unit cost. I love it! Also, whenever I go into the FA office, the people who help me are always super helpful and friendly.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: They have a career center where you can take personality tests and where job openings are listed.

Academic Experience: The teachers I've met in my major are amazing. They have really encouraged me to go as far as I can. The workload is heavy but manageable. I also really enjoyed the curricula I've used thus far.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I've had some amazing professors and for the most part I've liked the curricula that they've used. The class registration process is smooth and understandable. They also provide LOTS of resources for those with disabilities. My twin brother has disabilities so this is near and dear to my heart.

Campus Resources: I attend a 2-year community college. They are currently in the midst of renovating all the buildings. The new buildings are amazing but the old buildings are pretty antiquated. The buildings that have yet to be renovate include the library, art buildings, p.e. facilities, theater, a&r, counseling offices, and the disability resource center. It would be awesome if they renovated the library next.

Academic Flexibility: With there being so many classes available for the common core classes (ed: english, math, public speaking), picking classes to fit your schedule is a breeze. However, the more specific class you get (ex: Theater, Human Biology), the times and days they're available tend to get more narrow. Since I'm a first time student I have no experience with transfer credits

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I was very skeptical to go to West Valley. But let me tell you, it was a decision I will never regret. I fell in love with the campus and how beautiful it was. It's kind isolated from the outside life so it's not distracting because I never hear the city. I wouldn't call this school unique, but this only being my first year here, I can definitely say this is one of the best community colleges in Silicon Valley.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: If I could rate this 3 1/2 stars I could, but I guess I can't. For the most part professors are pretty cool. Psychology/History department is horrible here. There are definitely a lot of courses available, like variety wise, so it's fun to see what classes you can take. Class sizes are fairly small, average 30-35 students per class. Classes are chill if you get paired with the right students.

College Sophomore

Overall Experience: im not gonna lie, i honest to goodness do not understand this question. sorry hahah

College Sophomore

Online Courses: Haven't taken an online course, but I do plan on taking one.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Most students here at WV are your typical student. They mind their own business, they go to class, do what they need to do, then go home. Of course, there are still students who still think they're in high school so they try to form cliques and slack on homework/classwork, but they tend to be ignored. I believe WV is very diverse in age, race, sex, and pretty much anything else you can think of. And for the most part, everyone is accepted for who they are.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: This being a community college, the tuition cost is pretty low. I believe its $47-50 per unit. Since I don't qualify for financial aid, I would be the last person to know about the process.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I do not know anything about the post-grad services

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Athletics are pretty nonexsistent since nobody cares for them here (which is why they cut football...). Student Campus Center is roomy and the food is awesome, the campus itself is covered in trees and plants so it looks very environmental instead of all... boring. Campus activities can be weak at times but I swear we're trying

3 College Senior

Career Services: I have no knowledge of the Career Services at West Valley, but would assume they are not a big program.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Beautiful campus, high-caliber professors, friendly students. This is a great place to spend your JC years.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Academics is average at West Valley in all ways but one, as the professors are great if you can pick the right ones.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Resources are definitely provided, but as I viewed West Valley as a stepping stone to transfer, I did not interact much with those resources.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Huge accessible campus, beautiful, Many different buildings, each own separate academic..Buisness, Art, Theater, etc, many clubs and college activities

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Many diverse cultures, and international students, Ethnic backgrounds muti., every one gets along, and very friendly

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Transfer Program to University after completion of requirements, Assosiates Degree or Certificate option, At least 20 or more Architecture Based classes and very well educated teachers and staff willing to individually teach students, many other programs to help academically, or mentally ready for college

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Tutors, online classes, counselors, SMART Program, Internships, extra curricular clubs on campus etc
