In Middletown, if you don't expect too much, you'll love it. Bar night exists, and a few bars are frequented by upperclassmen and the occasional adventurous freshman—but if you come from a city, you're definitely going to notice a difference. Most people don't leave campus when they "go out." As for nightlife on campus, it's pretty hoppin': From dorm room parties to AEPi raves to concerts to experimental dance performances in the '92 to just chillin' on Foss Hill, there's something for everyone.
While Wesleyan may not rank highly on the list of "Schools With Best Beer Pong Tournaments," the party scene is not lacking—it's just different. Many students are determined to "Keep Wesleyan Weird," which involves less bronoodling and more naked drumming. Or—true story—holding hands and running in a big circle really fast, making percussive noises and harmonizing. If that doesn't appeal to you, however, there are also three frats that do traditional fratty things.
