Interviews & Information Sessions
Personal interviews are conducted during a campus visit. It is not officially required to visit the campus; however, the admission staff encourages it so they can interview a student and better get to know her. If a student is able to visit campus, she should do so shortly after sending in her application.
Campus Tours
Individual tours are given by a WAVE (Wesleyan Admission Volunteer Experience) member Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and must be scheduled at least two days in advance. Weekend tours are also available during certain admissions department events such as an Open Saturday and Fall Preview Weekend. Call ahead to check for availability!
Overnight Visits
Prospective students have the opportunity to schedule an overnight visit on regular weekends; however, there are three special events hosted by the Office of Admissions that allow students to stay overnight and participate in activities with other incoming peers. Fall Preview Weekend gives prospective students the opportunity to sit in on a class, take a campus tour, speak with a professor from their desired area of study, talk to a financial aid representative, and hold an audition for music and/or theater scholarships. Pioneer Weekend is an event full of activities and sessions that introduces some of Wesleyan's traditions, as well as student life and academic resources. Moreover, during any overnight visit, students have the chance to interact with Wesleyan students in a personal setting. Best of all, all overnight visits are free.
Did You Know?
  • Fall and spring are the best seasons to visit campus. During the fall, the campus is covered in the various colors of changing leaves, and in the spring, the cherry blossoms bloom and captivate visitors and students alike with their beauty.
  • It is best to visit campus on a weekday, and if possible, spend part of the visit at lunch. That way a prospective student is able to interact with numerous Wesleyan students, and see if she enjoys the overall atmosphere.
