4 College Sophomore

Parking: Seniors get to park in the garage so their cars are protected and not a far walk. Because there are so many international students many don't have cars. As soon as you're a sophomore you can have your car on campus for a relatively small yearly fee or slightly more expensive semester fee. Parking is pretty far from east campus however.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Its Ok – Most students don't have a car on campus so its ok. In town its kinda hard to find space. On campus there are some free spaces but they are very limited. Those who have cars just pay for a permit fee to put their park in the parking garage.

4 College Freshman

Parking: There are 3 public spots to park, but one of the lots is only open on weekends or after 6pm on weekdays. The Davis garage always has a ton of spaces for public parking, and all parking is free.

Parking: To Car or Not to Car – after your first year you are allowed a car on campus, and there is a small parking fee for the year, but it's totally manageable and makes it easier to get in and out of the city. Parking is generally very accessible, and there are other ways to get on and off campus if you don't have a car.

3 Recent Alumnus

Parking: po is a stickler about legal parking, but there's a huge parking structure on campus and a few lots. underclasswomen have to park in the farrrrr lots though.

The parking garage has made students feel better about the campus parking situation, but they're still a bit annoyed that it's all located on one side of campus. Although faculty and staff parking is scattered around, students in East Side dorms have to walk across campus to reach the student lots and the Wang Campus Center, and underclasswomen face an extra couple minutes' walk to the DC lot by the athletic fields.

Although it may be a trek to the lots, parking is plentiful and comparatively cheap. The inconvenience of hiking to your assigned lot is much less than the inconvenience of not having a car, and by senior year, you'll have a nice cushy spot in the parking garage.
