The closest off-campus dining options are a mix of chain and franchise restaurants and locally-owned businesses. They are within walking distance from campus, making it ideal for a quick bite between classes or something different for when you are tired of on-campus dining. Places such as Cyrano's, Racanelli's Pizzeria, Stratton's Café, and Boardwalk Café can offer breakfast plate meals, salads, pasta, wraps, soups, and entrée meals, both vegetarian and not.
Be prepared to pay about $2 to $4 extra for the local business prices. A salad at Cyrano's is both good and bought locally, but it can cost you about $9.50 compared to McDonald's salads for $5 or $6. Depending on the meal and the restaurant, you may get more than what you paid for. A wrap from Stratton's Café, for example, can cover a whole plate, and half of it could fill you up easily. There are also some specialty foods that are served within a few of these restaurants, like the gelato or Italian ice cream found in Stratton's Café, or the St. Louis-style thin-crust pizza from Imo's, located right next door. Some restaurants also offer discounts or specials during the week, like Weber's Front Row $5 bottomless wings on Monday nights.
