Off-Campus Dining

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The walk to Old Orchard is very convenient and the options once you're on the main street are plentiful. You can grab thai and then cross the street for Starbucks. Sadly many options aren't open very late at night so you may have to hit up the 24 hours Schnuck's a mile from campus in the other direction if you get a late night craving.

Off-Campus Dining: mostly mcdonalds, subway and other chain restaurants. nothing special

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining is where I go the most to eat. I usually go to Subway, but there are plenty of other spots to eat. The ones I have been to haven't offered any student discounts, but I'm sure that's not true for all of them. They aren't too terribly expensive without discounts, however. There are good spots to eat and there is a good variety as well.

Off-Campus Dining: We have places in every direction within walking distance! We have Mexican, Thai, Italian, BBQ, and many other options that offer discounts to students. We also have larger chains nearby such as McDonalds and Subway.

Off-Campus Dining: If you've got the funds, eating out at Webster is absolutely magical. There's a ton of diversity in both restaurants and grocery stores. Now if I could just get rid of this meal plan...

The closest off-campus dining options are a mix of chain and franchise restaurants and locally-owned businesses. They are within walking distance from campus, making it ideal for a quick bite between classes or something different for when you are tired of on-campus dining. Places such as Cyrano's, Racanelli's Pizzeria, Stratton's Café, and Boardwalk Café can offer breakfast plate meals, salads, pasta, wraps, soups, and entrée meals, both vegetarian and not.

Be prepared to pay about $2 to $4 extra for the local business prices. A salad at Cyrano's is both good and bought locally, but it can cost you about $9.50 compared to McDonald's salads for $5 or $6. Depending on the meal and the restaurant, you may get more than what you paid for. A wrap from Stratton's Café, for example, can cover a whole plate, and half of it could fill you up easily. There are also some specialty foods that are served within a few of these restaurants, like the gelato or Italian ice cream found in Stratton's Café, or the St. Louis-style thin-crust pizza from Imo's, located right next door. Some restaurants also offer discounts or specials during the week, like Weber's Front Row $5 bottomless wings on Monday nights.
