2 College Freshman

Weather: In the winter time, they don't shovel the snow making it hard for people to walk to class and park. This is definitely and issue, considering the fact that we live in Michigan.

3 College Junior

Weather: Its Michigan weather, so you can't let the unknown in the weather affect your campus experience!

2 College Sophomore

Weather: Snow in Michigan is pretty epic and it sucks being a commuter during the winter months.

1 College Senior

Weather: After just experience the record worst winter Detroit has ever had, its safe to say walking to class is terrible.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Wayne State is in Michigan, so the weather is unpredictable. This should be expected previous to coming to the university. It's nothing a Michigander shouldn't be able to handle.

Wayne State is in Michigan—that’s all that really needs to be said. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Michigan weather, a common saying here is “if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” You never really know what the weather will be like until that day, even when consulting the weather forecast. It has been known to snow in October or be sunny and 60 degrees on Christmas Day.

Generally, though, summers here are hot with some high-humidity days, especially in late July and August; autumn is cool with some surprisingly warm days; winter will be snowy and cold; and spring brings cool mornings, warm afternoons, and lots of rain. The three things you should always have in your car or dorm room are a light jacket, umbrella, and mittens. This way, you’ll always be prepared for whatever weather may come your way.
