2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Definitely taking all night classes from now on.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: I thought this school was going to be a lot better but should've known from past graduates, friends, Internet, etc. That it's not what their ads say.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Take all late evening classes. Students care more about the class and their work. Teachers are nicer and class sizes are WAY smaller

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Need better career center people and resources. Could use more community internships or projects.

2 College Junior

Online Courses: Wish I would've never taken online courses. Evening classes are the way to go

4 College Junior

Student Body: Very diverse but also very secluded. Very little interaction between students. Mostly students from the Aurora high schools.

2 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: They don't care if you're doing well or not they just want your money and will send you multiple bills. They often overcharge from your financial aid account.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm majoring in education and it's very split. Some professors are amazing and some are completely useless.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Most professors don't care at all. Only a few that make an extra effort to help

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Lots of places to go to for help. Counseling is great and tech centers are very resourceful

College Freshman

Online Courses: I have never taken an online course, sorry...

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: they do not offer a Nutrition major at Waubonsee. they have me listed in their system as a biology major. although just to be listed as something is nice, it is kind of annoying when they don't understand why I am listed as such and have me take a class that I won't need... this wastes my money and is a little frustrating

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: the thing most associated with Waubonsee is the nursing program. I have heard it is fantastic and, in fact, my younger sister plans to enroll in it after her senior year

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I love how the class schedules are set up. I personally set up my time so I have school days and work days. this way I save gas. sometimes I regret this though because, for example, I have school Tuesday Thursday from 9:30 AM to 8:15 PM with only 3 classes. this does save me gas driving back and forth and it gives me time to go to the library to study and do homework, but it can also be exhausting.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: having 4 campuses to choose from is very nice. it has a beautiful sugar grove campus that also connects to the Gilman trail.

I would definitely choose Waubonsee again because of the lowered cost compared to other universities, the proximity to highways, etc

College Freshman

Overall Experience: it really depends on the teacher what the quality is... I have had several wonderful, amazing teachers that have the WANT to help their students and make an effort to get to know us personally.

on the other hand, I have had a few adjunct teachers (those without office hours/ are part time) who have really turned me off of their subjects. I don't know if its just their circumstances in teaching or actually who they are, but not enjoying them teaching makes it very difficult for me to learn

the class sizes are fairly small. my largest class has been about 25-30 people. the classes are usually desk style which makes students feel closer to the teacher in terms of learning

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: this is a very basic school in the sense of ease of set up and registration. I do enjoy the fact that even if one does not finish a degree at Waubonsee, they have agreements with all the other colleges in Illinois that their credits will transfer. this assures that a student transferring in state will not have wasted any money.

5 College Freshman

Student Body: Waubonsee is a very diverse school. I have met many different walks of life as well as those who have come here directly from other countries just to further themselves. everybody is very accepting of others and most try their best to welcome those they do not know/recognize

5 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: going in my first year, I applied for FAFSA. I had 2 options: Bell grant (up to $5000) or Stafford loan (up to $5500). they were able to get me just over $4200 of the Bell grant (: they were fantastic when explaining to me how it worked.

Financial aid is all about applying for FAFSA at Waubonsee. they try their best to get you as much help as possible

College Freshman

Career Services: im not actually positive that they have a career services... then again, I've never really looked

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: people are very friendly including strangers. asking for directions here is not something to worry about. because it is a community college, we don't have many sports teams, but the few we do are fairly well supported. the campus is beautiful and has access to a trail which is great for photography and general exercising. all the buildings are clean and well kept up.

I think the only thing that could use a little help is getting information out such as the clubs/groups available for the student body to join

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: you get what you pay for. Its a community college so for many its just a stepping stone between high school and a 4 year univeristy.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Good teachers. Friendly environment. Wide variety of classes. Clean. Average class sizes

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Job fairs occur sometimes. Counselors are helpful

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Different from classrooms but way more convinient
