4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: There are plenty of courses offered at convenient times you can make it work.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: The online class experience depends on the class. I took Sociology online and I loved it. I also took Spanish online and even after taking four years in high school I struggles in the class.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The class sizes are very small which I enjoy. The quality of the professors is overall very good. The courses are informative and there is quite a variety.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Being a CRJ major at Waubonsee is great. The professors are former police officers from my hometown making their stories more interesting to me.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Waubonsee is a community college therefore it is simply a general school. The campus is nice and the professors are good but to get a real education it is necessary to go to a four-year school.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I just switched my major to biology and it seems like the course load is pretty standard for an AS

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's a very average community college experience. People would rather pay out of district tuition to go here than go to Elgin Community College but would also pay out of district to go to College of Dupage instead of going here, so we are pretty middle of the road.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Most people are here for their associate's so that's easy to figure out. WCC does offer jobs/internships/work study programs so that's nice. They have job fairs and college fairs which I recommend attending. Career center is decent but I recommend to supplement with your own advice from trusted teachers and friends and family, as well as just online your own research

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Online, 3 week summer classes, and regular summer classes help a ton in fitting in needed credits

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Widely varies depending on class/professor

Career Services: Talk to more than just the counselor you meet with because they don't always know or give the best advice. I recommend talking with trusted teachers, friends, family, etc

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: As a community college, WCC is very average all around. I've had some amazing profs and mostly average ones. People are not there to make friends so don't expect that, but everyone is generally friendly. Everyone is just trying to figure their future out, go back to school, etc. Nothing special, but a smart idea to save a lot of money

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: I recommend speaking with trusted teachers, other students, etc in addition to talking to the counselors because some of them are not good. Jamie is the best but some other career people have no clue. Seems like there are a good amount of programs, certificates, jobs, and work-study programs

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I just recently switched my major to biology, and from what I have seen so far the course load is fairly typical for an associate's degree.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The classes are extremely convenient as there are day and night classes. Even if none of those work for someone, there are online courses for those with extremely packed schedules.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The professors work with you make their expectations clear at the beginning of the semester. There is almost never any kind of miscommunication and if you seek out the professors during their office hours, they will give you whatever help they can provide or direct to where you can get it.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: While I have not yet advanced past general education classes yet, all my courses so far have shown to be applicable in the real world. There is no busy work involved and every project you do goes straight toward the grade which makes the semester fly by.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: This school and its faculty have helped me progress in both my education and career decisions. During normal business hours, there is always at least one person in the tutoring center to give help if one asks for it. The professors give the appropriate amount of push to help one grow as a student but not overwhelm one.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Takes 6 weeks to transfer credit and know what they will be under general ed. requirements when some schools did it in a week

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Easy to talk to professors and do assignments

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Some people can be antisocial

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors are nice and easy to talk to

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Classes are easy and very easy to transition to from high school

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: WCC is a nice campus and the teachers give great lectures and get back to the students easily and fast

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Since my major is history there is not a lot of specific classes that I can take that really dig deep into the subject.
