4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Professors of course are great, I think the only thing us students don't like, are the assignments.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: They help us to save as much as we can, and if that means getting a job, then they will happily help us find one.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There is a program called green dot, where they give seminars and help us understand how much it means to stand up against acts of violence.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I've never lived outside of my state, much less with other girls.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm not exactly the type to join, however they are pretty big here. And no one says anything if your not a part of the greek life.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Like I've said before the spirit is outstanding!!!

Health & Safety: WSU is a very safe campus, but I think lately we've been highlighting incidents a lot which is both good and bad. Good because it shows that WSU is very proactive about spreading awareness and striving for more safety measures, but bad because other people might assume we're not that safe at all. But I feel confident in walking alone on campus, and that if something were to happen that I can access the right resources to help me. There are proactive students and programs here at WSU that are making this conversation stay relevant all the time.

Overall Experience: I'm from Massachusetts, a long way from Washington. I think that choosing to come to WSU was a great choice to diversify my perspective and experience from others. I believe it has a pretty broad choice of job prospects as a state school and I'm confident in my ability to get a job after graduation. If anything, I think the alumni network can definitely benefit students (not necessarily me if I go back to MA) after graduation because "Once a Coug, Always a Coug). I believe the Career Center/Student Services here at WSU can be very helpful but should be strongly advertised because I feel like it's not utilized by most students.

Campus Housing: There are quite a few newer dorms since I came to WSU in 2012 and they definitely live up to their higher prices. I lived in an older dorm, Stephenson Complex, but I loved it. I love the fact that freshman are required to live in the dorms, because it really enforces community around school. The dorms aren't especially gorgeous, but I loved how social we could be living next to each other. My RA was great (I wouldn't assume that this will always be the case, I've heard of bad ones). Cost wise, each dorm building was reasonable in my opinion.

Greek Life: I can only speak on the Multicultural Greek life, as a member of it. It's very diverse and it's starting to grow pretty fast right now. I highly recommend that you throw away any current impressions of Greek life, because it's not what mainstream media portrays it to be (parties, lack of academic achievement, not being a contributing member of society, etc.). Always remember you will not be forced to join, so going to recruitment events is a great way to find a niche if you're unsure of where you belong in the college scene.

Athletics: It's crazy how excited the WSU community gets for football season especially. I take pride in being a Cougar, even when we don't have the best season. Fans are all over the place, and school spirit is at an all time high (we're a pretty prideful school to begin with).

Overall Experience: WSU as an amazing college experience. It's a diverse and friendly campus. For me, the location is irrelevant to how much I enjoy it here because the community I've found has kept me from leaving. I think the one thing about the school I really appreciate is the support system and the resources that I can reach out to for help with multiple issues.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are some really great professors who show individual care, but then there are the pits where proffesors are swamped with students

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I truely do believe that with a degree in with be successful in my field.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I've seen people scream and shout terrible things at each other while drunk leading to fights.
