4 College Junior

Overall Experience: School is great, homework sucks, there is always stuff to do and the gym is amazing with lots of classes to take.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: A lot of upper classmen know what they are doing with their life. Teachers are always informing students of volunteering and summer internships.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: I walk a mile home in the dark at least twice a week and I don't get scared at all. There are always people walking around.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The dorms are super small. Some apartment complexes have sucky maintenance people and management isn't always clear about letting you know if you have an air conditioner or not. Lots of parties in apartment land. Quality of apartment is decent. Housing near by is a good walk with lots of hills.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Rush is the week before school starts. Good luck trying to fit everything in on time.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Our football players have been getting into a lot of drama recently. It's not fair how they get less punishment compared to an average person who has done the same thing. The gyms are great and lots of athletes are friendly.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Everyone is super easy going here. I get lost all the time but never worry because a stranger will always show me where to go.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: The only places that I know that throw parties is the frats and sorrowrities. I dont think its a positive impact in students because of the drinking they do and some dont even know that minorities drink.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I mean the parties are okay in a way because if they werent there would be police cars and such each time there is a party.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: I havent seen many people discriminate and there's always encouraging booths.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: The only place I've seen is in the frats and sorrorities dormitories. They would have their cases of beers ready for the weekend.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The student recreation center is nice, but not as big as past student recs that I toured or have used.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Everyone is very easy going, but are also always available to help you succeed.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: All of my professors are very helpful and are very concerned with their students' success. The courses are challenging but no more challenging than I expected when I accepted my acceptance to the school.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am majoring in nursing and I know that a degree in nursing from WSU is one that is highly desirable because the nursing program is so highly rated compared with other schools in Washington state.

Health & Safety: I personally feel very safe on campus, of course at night time it's a little scary but, it's scary any where at night. The police drive around every day and I haven't heard of any big safety issues on campus, the police and students both are very efficient at keeping the campus safe.

Campus Housing: The housing process is very easy and it doesn't take long to apply for housing. The school is very good at getting you placed into one of your top four choices. For me, I was placed into my second choice dorm which was Rogers Hall. Rogers has large double rooms and it is very spacious. The community is very social and very kind however, it is hard to meet everyone on the floor since their are so many people and because of that the first couple weeks are very awkward especially since you don't always get along with every body. Rogers doesn't have AC which is a bit of a let down but with the right tools it can be fairly easy to keep you room cool. Every floor has a washer and dryer as well as a sink, microwave, and a stove. Each room also comes with a microfridge. The cost of housing is the big issue I have with living on campus, it costs about the same as in state tuition and I feel that it should be cheaper especially since first year students have to live on campus.

Greek Life: I am not part of Greek life nor do I plan to, it is not my style of living. However, most of the people I have met that are apart of Greek life are very kind and blend in very well with the rest of campus. The view of Greeks from non-Greeks differs because many think they are too cliquey but others want to be part of it and I know that recruitment is very big here on campus and it's very competitive.

Athletics: The school spirit in WSU is beyond any other school I have been to, everyone gets so pumped before, during, and after the games, especially football. I haven't personally been to a game because I work them instead.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Everyone here at WSU is always so willing to help with whatever someone asks and even if the can't answer your question they can usually refer you to someone that can help you. Not only are the peers helpful and kind, the professors and TA's are also very helpful and are concerned about the success of their students. They encourage students to attend office hours and ask question as soon as you are feeling lost or confused on the class material. I even had my lab instructor, who is a TA, tell my section that we could take a picture of our pre and post labs and email them to her, after we had answered all the questions ourself, and she would check the answers for us to ensure that we would pass our class and get the grade we desired.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love being able to have so many class options.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are many options for part time jobs on campus and it's very easy to get a job here!

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Multiple times through the orientation and week of welcome, we see Green Dot presentations that teach us about sexual violence and how to combat it or assist if ever in such a situation. I generally feel safe walking around campus, even at night.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: There are lots of options in location and price range.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: All of the house look amazing but I've never experienced anything with Greek life first hand.
