Student Body: My school is a multicultural/multidimensional institution where students have great respect for one another background and an excellent level of interaction in the online programmes as well as class based programmes

Career Services: i recently graduated in February and have not had a chance to view everything that the alumni offers, but I can say they email me every week about upcoming events and success.

Campus Resources: The campus is strictly online so it is unfair to rate. However, there are residencies that are a wonderful experience. Additionally, the services they provide virtually are wonderful and useful.

Campus Resources: I have attended both University of Phoenix online as well as Walden University and as far as online schools go, Walden really tries to keep things interactive.

Academic Flexibility: Now that I am finished with all the classes, Walden did not work with me as an international student, when the requirements did not match with the country I was in they did not find a solution to the problem or offer any options.

Campus Resources: When I started my program it sounded easy to accomplish. It wasn't until I was almost finished, severely in dept for student loans that the school informed us of the graduation requirements for the major I was studying. The hours that were required will force me to take a year off without pay while I finish my training. They have no other options for anyone who wanted to get their master's to go on to get a PhD, without the certification I am not able to get a final diploma, so I have to finish these 900 hours of training (without pay) after spending all of this money and have nothing to show for it.

Campus Resources: The majority of the online campus resources are helpful and easy to use, such as the Writing Center.

3 College Senior

Student Body: A majority of the student body at Walden University is employed. Most of the students have multiple commitments.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Walden University does offer some guidance for seeking scholarships

Online Courses: Attending an online university is convenient for a working person.

Academic Experience: Workload is feasible, as long as you do not work more than 40 hours/week. If you have a family, a strong support system is a requirement.

Campus Resources: I am enrolled in an online program. All my resources are at home.

Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: I am enrolled in a completely online graduate program.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: My graduate program is completely online. Therefore, my resources were all at home.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aide office was always helpful with any question I had and was timely with disbursements. Clear communication of when to expect disbursements was done every time.

Online Courses: Once you get into the classes and participate in all the discussion, submissions and interaction with faculty and students it is much easier than you would think. The fact that there is no commute to and from the university is a bonus for the hidden financial cost associated with a traditional college like commuting fees and parking.

As far as the workload, I thought that it was going to be much easier, but it was actually a challenge especially with the writing and APA requirement. The registration process was already set up for me excpet for registering for my residencies, practicum and internships. However, if I needed to request a change due to my personal and work load requirements it was very easy for me to gain advise from my faculty and advisor.

I found that the more your interacted with the professors and students, the better your experience you will have. This interaction is done via networking rather than face to face, so the biggest challenge for me was to pay attention to the wording and underlying tone of voice in your written submissions.

Academic Flexibility: I chose this school primarily because I needed an online school where I that was CACREP accredited and met all the requirements for the NCC board and Montana state board for professional counselors. I am able to work full or part time and work both my personal and work schedules around my classes. I attended another graduate school before coming to Walden University and I did complete my other Masters program and but alot of my credits did not transfer; in fact only 9 creits transferred, which is a real disapointment as I thought that more would.

The convience and flexibility of Walden University is worth the time, the effort and the cost of program I feel though.
