Online Courses: Course catalog stinks, they do not go into detail about the courses

Academic Flexibility: A few of the teachers would not bend even with the death of my husband

Career Services: They did not give much information when asked about helping to find a job

Tuition & Financial Aid: The cost of tuition goes up every quarter. The financial aid department misleads you by saying that the school offers scholarships and grants, but they do not. Some of the people working in that department do not know what they are talking about and they do not follow up with the student.

Student Body: With this being an online school, we did not get to physically see the professors. Sometimes they would include a picture of them self on their bio

Tuition & Financial Aid: I owe over $600.00 and cannot pay what I owe. I am on disability and cannot even afford groceries. I was denied a waiver for my tuition.

Academic Flexibility: I have three courses left in my DNP. I have not been able to find a preceptor after looking for over than two years and the nursing advisor states that I must have one to complete my degree. I keep trying and still have not been able to find one and advising states that there is no other way for me to finish until I do. I also have a balance left on my tuition and am unable to pay as I am on disability and cannot afford to buy food. I need to finish so I may secure employment as a nursing instructor.

Online Courses: I have enjoyed the flexibility and the variety of the options and learning opportunities in each of my online courses. The online method used helps me schedule my workload and coordinate my school assignments so I may utilize more information to help improve my grades and learn a variety of issues important to my chosen degree and career options.

Overall Experience: Upon graduation my opportunities for employment in my desired field will increase greatly. I am a disabled nurse and cannot care for patients and am going to Walden to complete my Doctorate of Nursing degree so I may teach nursing and help improve the quality of care and help decrease the nursing shortage.

Overall Experience: Some of the instructors shouldn't be teaching anymore. They aren't clear on their instructions or seem to come in the day before a module opens and realizes things instead of being prepared a head of time. Also, I don't appreciate being dismissed by department deans when I have an issue with an instructor. I was told "You should speak to your instructor". Ummm....if I'm coming to the dean, I've done that already.

Overall Experience: I've received no real support in helping me find a different job post-graduation. It doesn't mean that it isn't available though.

Academic Experience: The registration process and fin. aid process is very easy. There are guides that help you along the way. The program suits my future needs.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I have to go out of my way to meet my fellow classmates because they do not use Blackboard IM. I use Google Hangouts, but it would be easier if we had the IM that goes with the online management system.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The instructors will, at times give me back someone else's assignment feedback and also the tests are timed and even when talking to the instructor about test anxiety and giving more time for tests, they didn't seem to care.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I have never used Walden's Career Services

Online Courses: I wish that there were more power points and projects that had a variety of things to do. All we do is write essays and discussion boards which get boring.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I used the tutoring center for the first time this semester and it was easy and very helpful. I wouldn't have gotten the grade I received without it. The writing center could use some more help though as I received feedback after my essays were due.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The cost of getting your Ed.D. through Walden is around $50K and I have received a scholarship but going to the residency cost an extra $2K in traveling expenses that I was not expecting.
