College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I haven't started my program just yet. I'm hoping to in the fall of 2015. So far, I've loved the prerequisite courses and have made many friends also interested in radiology.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I do work study for the school. I help out in offices and do things for professors when needed. My professors really enjoyed me. The professors are also great. Two have recommended for honors programs.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am majoring in Business and also getting certified in real estate. The teachers are very attentive and the class sizes are small so the teachers have time for their students. The workload depends on the class. The facilities are very good. They are well taken care of and I enjoy them.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The professors are great. They are attentive and helpful.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: Sleep Diagnostics is a unique, small industry, but growing rapidly in recognition. Most students don't know what the actual job description of a Polysomnographic Technologist entails, but their light bulbs tend to go off when you mention a Sleep Study. It's cool because it's highly specialized, but frustrating at times because we don't get the recognition and respect that the position deserves.

Our program is very accelerated and extremely difficult unless you've had prior healthcare experience, college courses such as Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, and college level math.

However, VSCC has one of the newest, state-of-the art sleep testing labs right on campus and Middle Tennessee is regionally associated with some of the top Sleep Medicine Physicians and labs in the country! The Program Director is Top-Notch! He was employed in the field for many years as a practicing technologist, a sales representative for sleep devices, and in sleep lab supervisory roles. Mr. Mathews offers his students a well-rounded program, and is always going above the call-of-duty to help his students achieve their goals!
