Overall Experience: My experience had been okay due to finding my classes wasn't the easiest thing but all the work on the first day is hectic. Typing a 500 word essay was really rough but if I could chose to go to Western all over again I would due to they have great tutors and offer a lot of extra help if needed.

Overall Experience: Virginia Western offers lot of opportunities for students including wide ranges of classes. Most teachers are very friendly. We have a beautiful community arboretum. The campus is nice and so are the overall facilities. Parking can be a pain however.

Overall Experience: Great faculty and programs, several new buildings nestled in the mountains.

Overall Experience: It is a community college, most people don't expect much of it, but it is great with what it has. Resources are being developed well and professors are improving.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: The online courses are just like any online course. I took a hybrid which is both online and in person and I thought it was great regarding time, but poor regarding actually learning to my full capacity.

Student Body: The student body is very diverse which makes attending the school great, you learn new cultures and meet new friends.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition here is very cheap, compared to school at a 4 year institution, this is probably the highlight of the college. Financial aid here even lowers it, which is awesome.

1 College Freshman

Career Services: There is no career center here, you just go on your own

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: There are professors that do not care about you and will just read you the material and send you off to read your book, but then there is the occasional professors who do care and will do anything in their power to help you succeed.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: There is a large variety of programs that are offered and some of them are pretty cool. Class registration is pretty cool, you can decide yourself on what you want to take but you do meet with an advisor.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: It is very well developed for it being a community college. The new science building looks amazing and everything is within a ten minute walk.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My classes have been very flexible in part because they are online course.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The best experience I had was when I was struggling the Advisors assigned me a Mentor who helped me get back on track. She is still available to me. e

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The types of courses and the vairiety is the best I have seen among other Community Colleges

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: There are a lot of employers on campus and emails about them.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I enjoy the online courses for the most part. Easy registration. Lots of availability and interaction with the professor. Work load at times seem to be more than classrooms.

3 College Senior

Student Body: I do not see the students much as my classes are online alot.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It could be better for Adult and Independants. Younder students seem to get more money without having to apply for loans.

3 College Senior

Career Services: The new Career Center is great. I have not used it yet as I have a full time job in Healthcare.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am in the General Studies Program and I think it should be more focused on the courses going into a 4 year school. Most of the courses in my program are redundant

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Most of the professors are very knowledgeable and friendly.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: We have a brand new Student Center with a fitness center for students and staff. The Library has been remodeled and lots of student activities.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: From the first to the last semester, my whole schedule changed and so it was really difficult to work around it.

1 College Junior

Overall Experience: You do not really make new friends at Virginia Western. Most of the people I talk to from my classes, I do not associate with outside of class. I would not pick this school again because it is too close with home and I just do not like it.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It all depends on the class. Some were small and some were really big. Most of my professors just talked and talked and wrote a couple of examples and that was it. Some teachers were more hands on with each individual student.
