Party Scene: Know the right people and you will find the right scenes. But know where you are at all times and do not drink out of open bottles

Off-Campus Dining: Cook out , chanellos, jades garden, and wawa all become life and essentials for dining after mid night. Wawa and cook out are all in very good walking distance. Everything else delivers and its pretty fast.

Campus Food: The lines in the cafe were really long on most days, the variety was kind of sucky. But Gateway is pretty good tho. The hours are pretty ok tho.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The financial aid process was pretty easy, I did have to make a few calls to the school during my break. Just to ask a few questions tho. It was very quick and very helpful.

Campus Housing: Living at virginia state university has really opened up my eyes to , living on my own. I love being at State and I cant wait until I move back in in August.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The University provides an off campus living called Ettrick Apartments. It is moderately priced and factors into tuition. In isn't far from campus and is still in the vacinity of the stores on and around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: The parties nice but they are widely advertised. One has to connect with people out find out were they.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The campus is not to far from a variety of restaurants. The restaurants include Chanellos, McDonalds, Hardes, and variety of gas stations for convenience. They include student discounts by not very much.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: Virginia State University is a dry campus. It enforces strict rules on alcohol usage does not tolerant drug use.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The meals aren't the best and the food could be better but the provide a varity of options and times when one can eat.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The financial aid process is very smooth if one talks to the right people. If one wishes to talk about financial aid they should visit the office often through the academic year to stay informed about scholarship opportunities.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I play football and run track. So the football team is a big part , specially after winning our championship . The sports bring in a lot of money for the school.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There are opportunities but it all depends on the location and prices.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: its good and the best place to go is cookout , because it stays open until 4am.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: You can find a good party anywhere , but the only problem is how long until the police come and shut it down.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: They were very helpful, especially with my situation of my parent passing away the summer before I returned to school.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: VSU's campus is about five minutes from Southpark Mall, so off-campus dining is very convenient. Also, there are plenty of fast food restaurants along the Boulevard, which is about two minutes from campus. However, I only know of one restaurant that gives student discounts.
