Academic Flexibility: My experience at Virginia Highlands has been extremely convenient. My advisor was always readily available to help with the application process as well as guiding me on what classes I needed to take to finish my degree as soon as possible. It was also very easy for me to transfer credits from previous colleges.

Online Courses: I love the convenience of online classes. During my time at Highlands, I have taken over 5 online courses and am very pleased with my experiences. All of my professors responded to my questions in a timely manner and made sure that the course was easy to navigate. I would recommend online courses to anyone!

Career Services: Students that graduate from the VATNP at Virginia Highlands can continue their education at another local University, King University. Students will be able to complete online courses to receive their Bachelor's degree in nursing. The application process is easy and students are able to continue their education within a few months of graduation.

Overall Experience: My experience with the courses and professors at my school have been nothing but positive. I feel like all of the professors I have had care about my education and will go above and beyond to make sure that I understand the material that is taught.

Overall Experience: My choice to attend the nursing program at Virginia Highlands was highly influenced by the amount of alumni that have been hired in the area. I currently work in a hospital and over 75% of the nurses in my department attended VHCC to receive their associate's degree. I think this speaks highly of the program as well as the school as a whole.

Academic Experience: I am currently in the VATNP at Virginia Highlands Community College. Although this program is demanding, I am very proud to be part of such a great group of students. The Virginia Appalachian Tri-college Nursing Program is the second largest program in the state of Virginia. I have learned so much already and cannot wait to put my knowledge to use once I graduate.

Overall Experience: I am very happy thus far with my experience at Virginia Highlands Community College. All of my professors are extremely helpful, caring, and understanding. Everyone goes above and beyond to make me feel like my education is not only enjoyable, but important. I would recommend VHCC to anyone looking for a great community college experience!

Academic Flexibility: Transferring credits has been good with me. The counselors were helpful at contacting other schools for me to see what I needed, and what would transfer over

Online Courses: I love it, because you didn't have to be in the classroom. The teachers were helpful and replied to emails as quick as they could

Career Services: I'm going to be able to transfer after getting my associates. Everyone is helpful here!

Academic Experience: As of now, I'm just getting a general studies associates at VHCC, but plan to progress to my Bachelors

Overall Experience: It was a very helpful school ,& I learned a lot

Overall Experience: Honestly, I'm just now getting ready to transfer to this school. I went on a tour of my school, and absolutely fell in love. I love little schools, so I was all about it.

Academic Flexibility: There are many classes available for students. The classes are extremely flexible and due to the class sizes being smaller, the teachers are able to know students on a one-on-one basis, making it easier to compromise if need be.

Overall Experience: I have enjoyed my time at VHCC. The school is in the heart of Abingdon, Virginia and there are many types of things to do around the area that the school supports. I am glad that I chose to go to VHCC because of it's financial stability to my bank account and I feel like I'm getting a great education.

Overall Experience: I love the professors and I love even more than they actually care about me and my success. There are many courses offered in class and online. The class size resembles a high school classroom, so there is one-on-one time between the professors and students. The classes are a good transition for students who are used to a high school setting, but have a college pace to them.

Overall Experience: My experience at VHCC has been good and I don't regret coming here a bit! The professors actually care about you and your future. They really want to help their students!! The services on campus are very nice, ranging from the library to the hang out areas. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a good transition school or even someone who is looking to get another degree/go to college for the first time.

Online Courses: I love taking online courses! My first semester I tried it out and LOVED it so I have continued adding in online courses as I continue on in my education here. All of the classes I have taken online have been extremely convenient and the professors were excellent and also got back to any questions I had promptly and professionally. The registration process was the same as in class courses and were the same on work-load as well. Getting to work on your own schedule is always a plus as well. I would highly recommend to any student looking into taking an online class at VHCC to go ahead and do it.

Student Body: I don't enjoy most of the other students' that attend VHCC. They are all pretty weird. I mainly just attend class and use the library if needed; I keep to myself.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: This school offers many scholarships that basically anyone can apply for. Also, with it being a community college, the pricing isn't outrageous as compared to a 4-year school or university so the financial aid covers most of the expenses.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm only majoring in Gen. Ed. so it just the core classes. But the teachers are extremely nice and helpful. The workload is decent; that of a college student.

1 College Junior

Academic Experience: It's a community college so there are hardly any sports offered. There are some intramural sports, however.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Flexibility is great both in class schedules and in the easy nature of most professors.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I would do it again because I have yet to finish doing it the first time.
