I really enjoy my online courses! My grades have increased and I can access my courses at anytime and anywhere. It is different from a classroom setting because its not face-to-face so you don't really get a feel of how your teachers really are. The registration process was very simple and easy and my advisor guided me through the whole way. Each student and teacher understands when things come up that might interfere with your work. In a classroom setting, my professors won't understand or give you more time for an assignment; you either get it done or receive a zero.

As previously stated, I am really impressed with the compassion the instructors and advisors have for the students. The faculty genuinely care about the students. If we miss class, we receive a call from the instructors inquiring about the absence.
The students are older and are more focused and determined to graduate; therefore, we share common goals and are supportive of each other.
Uniquely, upon graduation, the advisor assists students with identifying employment!

I chose the major of Network Management, and I love this major that I chose. I really enjoy studying from how computers are made and how they operate to how to maintain a network and practice network security. Sometimes, my workload can get extremely heavy, but my interest for networking makes it all seem worthwhile. The instructors at Virginia College are very helpful. Some of them will go out of their way and come to school on the weekends if a student needs extra tutoring. I think that is great! I my field, there is an opportunity to take the advantage of an internship right on the school campus. I plan to take the advantage of that this quarter.
