Tuition & Financial Aid: Way to expensive. They have us but books we either use once or not at all.

3 College Sophomore

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The students here are crazy. The food we have is awful.

College Sophomore

Career Services: There are no higher degrees available at Vicenennes in the degree I am pursuing.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There is alot of hands on opportunity with my degree through Vincennes. That is helpful in the real world work force.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The classes I have completed so far have all been online, but the professors were all fast to respond to emails and were all very helpful, and their classes were easy to navigate.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I still wouldn't even be enrolled in a college yet if it wasn't for the extremely helpful staff members who went out of their way to help me.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Easy to use and helpful staff makes my college life easy.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The alumni network is easily accessible to those who put in time and effort into their course work. The professors and alumni are always willing to work with you and help out when they can by making recommendations and providing their expertise.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The professors here are the best. One of my professors took me and a few other students to Bloomington for a jazz concert for a paper we had to write for his class, which was going way above and beyond because there are several concerts we could have attended here in town on our own. He bought our dinner and took us to ice cream after. He and his wife come into my work sometimes with their laptops to help me out with any registration issues I might have. For the most part, the professors are very understanding and friendly.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: There are a lot of students who come for the low price tag but have no intention of putting forth the effort associated with college. Several of them actually put their nose to the grindstone (particularly the nursing students), but there are those who slack excessively.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very affordable and they offer several programs which give financial assistance which are easy to use.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: The professors here are always more than happy to help you out and make recommendations as well as follow up with you personally.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I get to do all of my learning at the local hospital so it is like I get more genuine, hands-on training.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There is a varied enough curriculum that you can get a start in just about anything, but not so varied that it is overwhelming.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The staff is friendly, the campus is easy to navigate, and there are maps available everywhere. The buildings are spaced enough apart that it doesn't feel cluttered and the living quarters are nearby.

Academic Flexibility: In general my experience at Vincennes University has been very convenient. My previous college classes transferred without difficulty, and I haven't had hardly any conflicting of classes with other important things in my life. The only inconvenient things I can think of are the MyVU website and the way finances and payments are set up. The school website is difficult and time consuming to find simple things on like grades or tuition costs. Also, there are several different places that students have to look to see financial aid, tuition costs, cost of books, what has been paid for, and what hasn't been paid for yet. In my opinion, a student should not have to wonder how much money they have or go through several people to figure out how to pay for something. It would be nice if there was one place to look for grades so far, transferred credits, credit hours earned, GPA by semester, and overall GPA; and one place to look for books and tuition costs, payment types, how much money is available, and how much money will become available in future semesters.

Overall Experience: I have loved my experience at Vincennes University so far, and I would go back to VU if I had to choose again. I love the convenience of living on campus. I love all of the activities and resources. I especially love the PTA program, in which I have learned so much and grown as a person already. The people in my program have become like my family, and in my opinion, that is one of the coolest things. The reason why I think this is so cool is because my time is not being wasted at Vincennes University. Even if something were to happen that would keep me from finishing the program and getting my certificate/degree, I will still take so much with me not only in book knowledge, but in what I have learned through dealing with people and making use of the resources offered to me.
