Campus Housing: If you get a good roommate you'll be fine

Campus Housing: Rooms are a bit small at first but you grow to love them. Great communities within buildings as well and RAs are generally friendly and helpful.

Campus Housing: Certain dorms have a better reputation than others.

Campus Housing: I had a triple freshman year. It was cramped and o was not good friends with my two roommates but I liked the overall dorm. I was in the leadership community. Sophomore year I lived relatively far away from classes but I had a larger room than people who lived in the quad.

Campus Housing: Based on my first year, living on campus has been great! The freshmen dorms are a bit secluded from main campus but it's just a 5 min walk to main campus and a max of 15 minutes to the furthest building. Campus feels safe and since all the freshmen are together, you make friends quickly and always see them around. Campus is not small enough that you feel life high school and not big enough that you never see anybody you know.

Since Villanova requires all freshmen to live on campus, making friends is pretty easy. South Campus houses nearly all freshmen, allowing for the majority to be familiar with people in their classes. All of the newer freshman dorms have air-conditioning and are comfortable, but they are fairly large, holding no less than 100 people. Another downside is that they are strict about signing in guests. Moriarty and Motown are older buildings in the middle of nowhere, but students who live there become very close, and there are picnic tables and grills. On Main Campus, most of the freshman dorms are off in one corner.

The dorms are comfortable and friendly, giving students a mix between privacy and social environment. Bathrooms are always clean, and there’s rarely a wait for showers. Overall, the furniture is in good shape, and the beds are actually pretty comfortable. Whatever shortcomings rooms have, a quick touch-up with some posters and pictures makes rooms more comfortable and inviting. Some smaller dorms become communities all to themselves, and everyone becomes close. In the larger dorms, most residents have a few close friends and know a whole lot more. It all boils down to preference—if you like less people, look for dorms on Main, and if you like to know a lot of people, South is it. Living on campus is convenient and fun, and few move off before senior year.
