Off-Campus Dining

{{ error }}
5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are tons of restaurants within walking distance that cover basically every type of food. Taste of Nashville encourages off-campus dining by allowing students to use their meal money at local restaurants, but also tends to funnel everyone to the same ten restaurants when most of the best options aren't part of the program.

Off-Campus Dining: It's great that for the most part we are able to use our meal money to pay for off-campus dining.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Fair amount of options close by. Late night food can be hard to find if you want anything besides pizza or Qdoba, though.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Chipotle, Qdoba, Wendy's, Mellow Mushrom, Dominoe's Papa Johns, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts, Bruegger's, Chili's, Chuy's, Panera, The Bread Co.,Starbucks, Sweet Cece's, Subway, Quizznos, Smoothie King, Five Guy's the list of chains doesn't end (there are tons more right off campus). There are also tons of non-chains that are great, like the Pancake Pantry, Noshville Deli, Roma's, Sam's Sports Bar, Hattie B's, etc. Nashville has the best food, period. Mostly affordable too.

Off-Campus Dining: Nashville is such a foodie city, which is wonderful! Options close around campus can get kind of stale and boring after a while, and without a car, it can be difficult to get out and explore Nashville's food scene.

There are a large number of good restaurants in close proximity to Vanderbilt. Maybe it has something to do with the zoning of the city, but it seems like Vanderbilt lies in a very highly concentrated restaurant area of Nashville. In every style and price range, you will find something within walking distance or a short cab ride.

The selection certainly exists in the city; it is only a question of the depth. There aren't dozens of excellent places to eat for every genre of food, but excellent places do exist. This means that it is very important to make reservations, or you will find yourself standing in line holding one of those silly pagers.
