4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Food is great for the most part. However, freshmen are forced into an abusive 21 meal/week plan. It's impossible to use all your "swipes" without overeating.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There is a fairly wide variety of dining options on campus, and if that's still not enough variety for you, you can always use your meal money off campus as well.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Vanderbilt offers a great variety of foods that caters to different cultures and peoples needs.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: Overall, a lot of the food is high quality. However, the meal plan swipes are way too much food to consume in one sitting. Also, the meal plan periods can be difficult to work around depending on your class schedule.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The amount of food is overwhelming at first, and they have a huge variety. The only problem is walking all that way to get food. They do their best to keep students fed, and the munchie marts are great for snacks and convenient meals

Other than dinner at Rand, students are very positive about the quality of the food. Fortunately, there are so many other choices on most days that it is hard not to find something you like. But, on-campus weekend dining options are extremely limited.

Vanderbilt has recently overhauled its meal plan system, which gives students a great deal more flexibility in their food options. However, despite the high quality and selection of what is available, the prices are ridiculously inflated, and there isn’t a grocery store within walking distance—the cost of living is very high within the “Vanderbubble.”
