Overall Experience: There are good things and bad things about this college. Some of the great things about this college is the low tuition, the large amount of people aware of opportunities in Valley City from all over the United States, and parts of the world. The classes are small enough that I can easily interact with all of my teachers, and I have found a good group of friends. Some of the downsides to this school would be the availability of alcohol and drugs on campus, the amount of rumors that spread about people, and when rumors spread, it's easy for a good number of people to hear about it due to its smaller size. And my last complaint would be about how some students behave on campus. All in all I take the good with the bad, and try to live a good life from it.

Health & Safety: There are not many security measures for on campus at night. At night on campus I really dont feel safe walking

4 College Freshman

Athletics: We have good school spirit on campus. Also amazing fans who love to go the games and support the people on the court or field. The facilities are pretty good for a small campus.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: I love the greek life. I'm apart of the sorority here on campus and I wouldn't trade being in it for the world.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: It's horrible and really expensive I would never want to live off campus. Unless I'm living in the student apartments that VCSU has

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Its not the best because you have to choose from the same resturants all the time.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Alchol policy on campus is very strict and very enforce. There is not much for academic besides no cheating or plagerism.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I wish I could got more grants. I got none and really hate to be paying all the finical aid that I have to when I am older and trying to make a living. I wish there were more scholarship opportuinities.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Wish there was more to do on the weekends on campus. The parties off campus are ok but usally end up with the cops circling around the block

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: I think it could be improved but it is good. I wish there was more healthier options for some who is trying to watch what they eat and lose weight

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I really like it. I live in a great dorm. Even though it might be noisey at times I have a workout room right next to me. Then we have a kitchen where i can keep food if I need to

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: As far as I know there are a decent amount of off-campus housing options, however I have never explored them.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Costs are fine and most of the food is good. There are just so few options, and usually poor service. There are almost no student discounts and very poor variety.

3 College Freshman

Administration: I think all the policies are really good. I just think some of the rules could be enforced a little more.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I got a really good scholarship with the school just for having a good GPA and ACT score. It also helped that I was going into the STEM program.

1 College Freshman

Party Scene: There are very few actual parties. The only time a lot of people get together to have fun, is at the dances which are on Wednesday nights. Other than that it's pretty lame.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: There is one dining hall that has several options such as pizza, stir fry, wrap station, grill, salad bar, some main dish, and different deserts. There is also a food place called the Viking I which serves fried food and things on the grill.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It's really convenient because it is a small campus so all your classes are really close to the dorms. And people are nice but kind of just boring.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Policies are not affecting students' lives.

4 College Freshman

Technology: We've got a choice of Mac and Windows.

Majors: I like my program here. The teachers are understanding and they have all taught in a elementary classroom at some point in their life. If I had do it all over again I would through here because of the experience with the staff I have had. In the future I'm hoping to get a job in elementary teaching grades three through five is my idea area but willing to spread my wings. I'm worries about finding a job just because the amount of teachers there are now compared to previous years.

Majors: To get into the program here at Valley City we have to get approval by our adviser, two faculty okays, and then to take the PPSAT one test and get within the required scores. It really isn't a challenge at all. The staff in charged of admission to the program keep us updated with what we still need to have done and what we already have done. It is very import to take the PPSAT otherwise you can not get into the program at all.

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live in off-campus apartments or housing. I know people who live in apartment that they say aren't very safe and they don't exactly like it, but it is affordable and in walking distance to campus. Our school does have apartments available for married couples who come to campus, but they are not very available because of how few there are.

Local Area: Previous years in Valley City have been better than this year. Crime did go up for some reason this year in the city but nothing to big. Its mainly families and college students who are in the town. There are older people but again its a younger crowd living here. While there may not be a lot to do, as students we usually are finding stuff to do.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: While there is one all male and one all female group there aren't really seen as any different among the others. There are groups for honor society and also for other academic purposes but again not much is seen as different. Everyone on campus includes, or tries to, include everyone.
