My time at Valencia has been a relatively good one! It's a smaller school so it feels a little more intimate with class sizes. Because it is a smaller school, it feels a little more comfortable, as opposed to the hustle and bustle of bigger Colleges and Universities. Though I mainly focused on my studies, it was fun to attend the school hosted events once in a while (like the carnivals, relaxation sessions during finals week, etc). If I could choose my school over again, I would. I think the smaller and quieter environment of Valencia made going to school feel more comfortable (to me).

I love online courses at Valencia. The workload was appropriate and easy to understand and complete. There was always a different type of content for the different types of learners, and the teachers were always excellent at messaging their students back. The registration process was simple and then there was both a detailed schedule and a hourly day-to-day schedule. The only thing I didn't like was group projects or activities because sometimes the teacher would assign groups that didn't work with your schedule and I kept ending up with students that would never reply until it's after the deadline - very frustrating!

For the most part, the courses and professors have been a good experience. The courses are relatively challenging but rewarding and the professors are always willing to help you succeed. One experience that I had with my Design I professor was that she was very informative. She taught our class about multiple styles and artists. She always reassured us that if there was a style that we wanted to try out (that may not have been exactly what the assignment called for) then we were free to go for it! Because of her encouragement to go out and try new things, I think that is what helped me to settle on my major.
