College Junior

Online Courses: I have not taken any online courses.

Overall Experience: Courses here vary depending on the campus you attend. You may find yourself commuting to far away lands just to take a class that's not offered on your campus. There are good profs here and there are bad ones who think there still teaching highschool students. (Possibly because lots of them are part-time profs and DO teach high school).

Nonetheless, use ratemyprofessor before taking any classes here. A good professor makes for a great class and great learning experience. Good professors care for students and are there for those who want to learn and succeed. They usually have time to help and answer questions if you have any.

Classes sizes here are usually quite small (some can be big like 40 students but others, such as one I'm in, can be only 6). Remember, they might be a prof, but YOU are the one paying them by attending. So get good profs (why pay bad ones?) and be sure to make full use of the ones you get.

Overall Experience: The people are pretty friendly, but as a rule everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. You have to specifically make first contact in order to make friends. -It's easy once you start though as, again, mostly nice people here...campus is neat and clean.

BE SURE to use ratemyprofessor before signing up for classes.

Campus Resources: Students are allowed more one on one time with teachers. This breaks the barrier of the teacher and student. It creates a comfortable environment. School tuition is also one of the cheapest in Florida which is GREAT! Love it here!

Online Courses: The best thing about online class is that you can complete your work at your own time plus no driving the campus to listen to a teacher talk for hours.

Academic Experience: I was enrolled at Valencia for only 2 years so, as for internships opportunities there isn't much. The curriculum for Business is really good. You take classes that actually pertain to your degree and when you eventually transfer to your desired 4 year university you will have an understanding of how business works.

To some, Valencia is an opportunity to grow academically, but to others it’s a place to relax and explore the academic world without any pressure from fellow classmates and professors. Valencia Community College is open to the overachievers and to the slackers. Most students remain at Valencia well beyond the two years required to complete the associate degree.

Valencia Community College is a small academic community that takes great pride in its students. It has well over 100 clubs and extracurricular activities. Many nationalities and ethnic groups are represented on campus. Furthermore, Valencia spares no expense; the school brings in speakers, philanthropists, and experts in various fields year-round to discuss various topics with students.

For those who are concerned about their environment, the school has great security on campus. Police are present, aware, and ready to help. Valencia will help you every step of the way, from enrollment to graduation and beyond. On any given day, you will hear of and see alums walking the many Valencia campuses, talking to current students about life beyond college. Valencia is truly a great place to start.
