I love online courses at Valencia. The workload was appropriate and easy to understand and complete. There was always a different type of content for the different types of learners, and the teachers were always excellent at messaging their students back. The registration process was simple and then there was both a detailed schedule and a hourly day-to-day schedule. The only thing I didn't like was group projects or activities because sometimes the teacher would assign groups that didn't work with your schedule and I kept ending up with students that would never reply until it's after the deadline - very frustrating!

My school is really diverse and resourceful, which allows many learning experiences that you wouldn't get in other schools. I transferred to Valencia and was instantly offered with a wide range of classes unlike my other college. The campus was big, with many students and professors. There was a math center for students who needed help in any level of math. There was also a similar center for writing as well. The library was enormous and have many quiet places over a great view of the lake and sunrise while studying early in the morning. My favorite part though, is the professors. I have attained such a rich education during my time at Valencia. My professors cared and brought each and every student in the classroom to a comfortable level in which we all felt like we had a voice and our opinion mattered. Hands down the best decision I've ever made for my education! Even better, I am in the direct connect program which guarantees my admission into UCF. Who wouldn't love this school?

I transferred from another community college to Valencia, and my experience has been smooth so far. The professors have all been helpful. They respond to questions in a timely fashion, and are mostly available when I need them. They are also patient in dealing with students which is a great bonus.

Taking online classes can be a bit challenging though, because it is all up to the student to be determined to do the work. It is possible to communicate with professors via email, but the teacher-student relationship hardly exists.

At Valencia, it is also easy to arrange classes around your personal schedule because they have the online classes, evening classes, and weekend classes which are all available at almost every time! Plus, they offer internships for those interested, and the internship and workforce staff assist you all the way.
