With only two places to eat on campus, there are not a whole lot of options. The food here gets really old really fast. To be fair, dining services tries to change things up a bit by offering something different each day, but in the end, it becomes one giant rotating schedule. Wismer, the main dining hall, is very much ostracized—it always has been and likely always will be. It is more of a social animal than anything else. Students who go to Wismer usually go with a large pack of friends and spend a long time socializing there. The food may not be the best, but you can eat as much of it as you want and stay for a while.
Zack's, on the other hand, provides fresher food. It's technically a snack bar, but it provides much more than that. The meals served there are great for lunch, but usually do not have large enough portions for dinner. Zack's is a bit more expensive than Wismer, but the quality is definitely better. It gets a bit busy during peak lunch hours (noon to 1 p.m.) and during dinner (around 5 p.m.), but otherwise, it's a place to quickly grab food and take it anywhere.
