My time at the University of Wisconsin has been the most challenging and the most rewarding period of my life thus far. The University has a very "work hard, play hard" atmosphere about it, in which students work incredibly hard on academics but have ridiculous amounts of fun when the studying is done. The courses are rigorous, but the professors teach with so much knowledge and passion that students are always motivated to do their best. The campus is huge, but beautiful, and there is always something going on. You can't beat the atmosphere of this school, and it is truly one of a kind.

My first semester here at Madison has been fantastic so far. I have transitioned very well and am truly thankful for the classes and the people who have already helped me look at topics and issues in a variety of different perspectives. I have met amazing people who have made it a personal goal to help me succeed in every way possible and I am looking forward to expanding my network and support system throughout my time on this campus. One major thing that I would like to do is spread awareness on Native American culture and history. My culture and where I come from is extremely valuable to me. So far I have found that many of the people I come into contact with on this campus know little to no information on Native Americans. Seeing that Native Americans are underrepresented, I hope to create activities, groups, and gatherings that will help students and faculty become more aware of the culture, traditions, and history of the Indigenous peoples of America.

I love Madison! From the classes to hanging out on Bascom Hill to walking State Street, Madison is the perfect school. There is such a wide variety of classes which is amazing because I can take a bunch of classes in many different fields. There are also so many things to do out of class that there is something for everyone. I really like how I can be in many different clubs without having to sacrifice anything I want to be involved in. And of course game day at Madison is the best there is!
