4 College Junior

Overall Experience: It is a great school.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: At this moment, I am incredibly excited to be attending the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in the fall. I visited the college approximately two weeks ago for freshman orientation, and I was fascinated by all of the opportunities that will be available for myself to partake in once I have moved in. I am astonished by the faculty, and how involved they are, as well as how focused they are on helping students find careers by the time they have graduated. The school is very involved in the community as well. There are ministry groups, banks, and clubs that are promoted by Whitewater, in order to increase student involvement in the town. I have actually been offered a job at a restaurant in the downtown area before the academic year has even begun. It is very impressive that my new employer will be working around my school schedule, and it seems that most employers in Whitewater understand how important education is, and are willing to work around it.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: UWWhitewater has a wonderful reputation for job placement.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Have made many positive male friendships.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Have had no difficulties with safety issues.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Little exposure/familiarity to Greek life.

5 College Junior

Athletics: Have had a great experience with Warhawk athletics.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Have had no problems with off campus housing.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: Available if interested but no pressure.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Mostly chain restaurants and fast food.

4 College Junior

Administration: Have not had any negative experiences.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Food is ok but would like more healthy options.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Dorms are clean and well maintained but outdated.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Whitewater's diverse campus housing gives options from the classic rectangle dorm to the more spacious, Wells' buildings and even the individual bedrooms of Starin Hall. The walking distance is average, the amenities minimal. We have several gym-like buildings on campus, in addition to the gym in the basement of Well's West (connected to Well's East). It can be better to live in the dorms but personally my apartment experience has given me more value and less conflicts.

Off-Campus Housing: The apartment complex I found is equally far from campus as the campus-owned apartment complex so I am close by. The landlord is amazing, and the neighbors are what you expect, other college kids.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There's not much open past 10pm that's walkable, so unless you have a car don't plan on having any munchie food. There's limited choices and usually your wallet will decide.

3 College Junior

Administration: The people who run the systems know what they are doing, so despite a horrible infrastructure it is still possible to maneuver to suite your needs.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Better than UW-Stout! I like having UNO's on campus for discounted food and Ike's cafe has great breakfast. Other than that, the long lines for the better places will almost always have you going to Esker for the crappy fast food.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: UW-Whitewater has the best football team and is a division winning champion!

3 College Freshman

Majors: I am planning to apply to my program in the coming fall. From what I've heard, it tends to be harder to get in as only 30 people get in a year.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I love that the College of Education offers a dual program of having two education majors.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: I don't really care what a person's background or beliefs are, I try to be fair and equal to everyone.
