Facts & Statistics

Tips for Getting In
  • Keep your grades up.
  • Take the ACT.
Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • Really take seriously staying at school for the first four weeks. Students will make a lot of friends during this time.
  • The drinking and drug problem
  • The Freshman Wilderness Experience through Stout Adventures is a great experience to take before coming to Stout. Students should receive a brochure before their freshman year. It is totally worth doing. Students will learn something new and meet some other freshmen and upperclassmen before even setting foot on campus in the fall.
  • What you want to study. For students who are undecided, Stout is not the best place to be. Stout is very specific with its majors and that is a great part about the school; however, it is difficult to find something that suits students when there is a limited number of choices.
Interviews & Information Sessions
With scheduled campus visits, prospective students meet with an admissions counselor before touring the campus.
Campus Tours
Campus tours are available through Campus Preview Days and Stout Saturdays. No tours are available during academic breaks or final exam weeks.
