4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The biggest tip I could give would be to apply for scholarships and financial aid right away. The processes were long, but they were worth it in the end when I got an overwhelming amount of financial support.

Campus Housing: The housing process was very clear and straight forward. I was easily able to move into my new room on move in day. My suite was very spacious. I loved that it included a shower, bathroom, and kitchenette. Living on campus in my dorm made me feel right at home.

Campus Housing: I received my housing assignment very quickly.

Off-Campus Housing: The off-campus housing opportunities are rather large. If you want to live off campus it's easy to find people that are willing to live with you. The costs isn't to bad either, not to mention that some landlords have it to where you have will take little to no payment for certain necessities, such as laundry. Which surprising can add up after a while of doing it.

Off-Campus Dining: The variety of food options that exist around campus is rather astounding for a small town like this. We, of course have our fair share of chain restaurants but we also have quite a nice number of other restaurants that people don't always think about going to.

Party Scene: My school isn't known for its parties by any means. The parties that do happen are usually heard about through whispers and can be up to 2 miles from campus. Other than the Frat parties, the parting life here isn't "wild" as it is on other campuses.

Administration: The strictness of the school is relatively high. Alcohol is own allowed in the rooms when the roommates are 21 or over. Each dorm has quiet hours at about 10 during the week and midnight during the weekends. If there is a problem the RA's are the first ones to respond if the problem is to big for them to handle the police are notified and show up in about 5 minutes.

Scholarships: The financial aid process at my school was a little bit of an annoyance. The notification system that the school has could be changed because I needed to fill out the same 45 minute worth of paper work twice for the college to question me and tell me they didn't get a notification. My stress went through the roof.

Campus Food: The food options are so much better than that of say high school. You can go to the all-you-can-eat buffet which has different meals everyday from Lo Mein to burgers. If you don't feel like the buffet you can go to the Grill where there is all of your fried greasy foods. If you still aren't satisfied with those choice you can go to the market and pick up what you'd like to eat, from Chinese food to pizza they have a wide variety.

Campus Housing: Living on campus allows for people to get to know each other because you live right next door to one another. The people that only commute to campus never get to experience it all. Your RA's can plan little activities or outings where everyone can come. You can walk outside the dorm and fine people playing sports or doing other activities. Not to mention the night that you spend in others rooms just talking and making each other laugh. Living on a college campus can be the time of your life.

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments are close to campus.

Administration: Administration is helpful, but only if asked.

1 College Freshman

Scholarships: I barely got any financial aid and struggle to pay for college.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Food everywhere is extremely expensive and most of it is greasy.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Cost and convenience are good. Amenities are lacking.

3 College Junior

Administration: I am a distance learner and have had minimal experience to the administration.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It's the best experience ever

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I see lots of options.... My experience is great, but I chose to live out of town for cheaper rent. I know others that live off campus but in town and they seem happy.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Tons of fast food options... Benvenutos provides a nicer dine in place, but since it's fancier, it's also more expensive. For those uncomfortable with eating where alcohol is advertised, options are limited a bit, but it's workable.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I was only able to get a scholarship through an audition at my department (music) at UWP.... As a transfer student, that was my only option, which was a little upsetting, but now that I have attended I can apply for scholarships as a continuing student.
