University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is a fantastic campus! Each professor really puts their students first. They don't want you to fail, they just want you to be challenged. The academics are great and you really do learn things you've never known before. Not only are the academics great, the campus is beautiful. Fall is by far the prettiest when it comes to a season on campus. There is just something about the leaves falling in Oshkosh. Also, the dorms that are available to live in are not as small as people think. They are very spacious and inviting. University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is truly fantastic!

Transferring from a smaller University, I was afraid of just being a number here. That was not the case at all, most professors showed interest in every student, even during the larger lecturer halls. I was afraid I wouldn't find my place here, but after the first week of school I knew I made the right decision to transfer. Attending a mid-size university allowed me to take myself out of my comfort zone and get involved with my school. I think one of the best decisions I did, was work at the university, the summer before my first semester. Working for the university allowed me to meet most of the maintenance workers and see their passion towards this school. I also got free donuts a lot of the days, overall great experience,so far!

The Kinesiology program is well-designed and organized. It is challenging at times, but also interesting and fun! I enjoy the way it has helped develop my understanding of and passion for exercise and fitness. Many classes are hands-on, which fosters learning. The University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh also requires Kinesiology students to participate in an internship, which is a huge advantage in gaining experience. One con is that Kinesiology classes are held in the basement of a very old building. The classroom environment is very dim and gloomy.
The program's biggest downfall is the lack of variety. Several students, for example, are planning on becoming Physical, Occupational, or Respiratory Therapists. The program doesn't tailor very well to those students. Many of us feel that it would benefit greatly from adding more rehabilitation-based classes and, instead of having one set of required classes, have a set of core classes and allow students to choose from a list of electives to best suit their future plans.
Overall, it is a great program, but a few more changes could make a big improvement!
