College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I hear that there are many places to pick from and that they can be close to campus and also far away. It all depends on where you live. I have to live on campus next year still so im not really sure how all of it really is. This is just based off of what I have heard and read.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I think off campus dining is very good and that there are many options to choose from. I've already been to about 4 different off campus places and I have liked every single one so far.

3 College Freshman

Administration: I think campus police around when it is necessary. I think when it comes to CA's they aren't very strict, from my experience at least.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: My financial aid process for this school was pretty easy going. It wasn't a big hassle like it was the very first time I had to fill it out first semester. I haven't applied for any scholarships at the school, but I have done ones not connected to Oshkosh.

College Freshman

Party Scene: I haven't gone to any parties. I don't really enjoy going out and getting drunk with people I don't know

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: I really like Blackhawk and all of the options that they give you. I think the service is very good too. The only thing I don't like about campus eating arrangements is that you have certain hours in the day where you can eat and I also don't like that you have to eat in reeve during the weekends and that they are strict about what counts as a meal and what goes over it.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I think the environment is friendly all around and I do feel very comfortable walking to my classes. I think this is a pretty spread out campus, nothing is too close but nothing is super far away either. I think the cost to go here is very reasonable. I wish that the CA's were more strict sometimes because many people are way louder than they should be.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It is definitely not the best. Most homes are run down and dirty and the landlords like to take advantage of the poor college student.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are lot's of options outside of the college dining! Some are far but some are really close and a lot of places deliver!

4 College Sophomore

Administration: I think the administration is strict on the important things that they need to be strict on!

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It's definitely not the best and is very confusing.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: It's college so there will always be parties going on, but what's nice is the parties are there if you want them and if you don't you don't have to see or hear them. The parties are never out of control which is a big plus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: It's college food. That being said, its not gourmet but it's definitely better than other colleges! I don't mind eating here everyday.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I live in one of the newly renovated dorms and I love it!! It's very nice and has a home like feel to it.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off campus and only upper class man are allowed to live off campus.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: If you love jimmy johns, you will love it here.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Pretty lenient as long as you don't deliberately break the rules you'll be fine.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I didn't get what I thought I was going to get. Make sure you fill out FASFA early.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: House parties are busted by police a lot and need cars to go to bars.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: If eating at Blackhawk for more than two days will get up set stomach.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Freshmen live in same building with floors alternating between guys and girls. Residents halls are old.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: While there are many preventative measures taken by the university (Emergency stations, security check-ins, safe walks, etc.) there have been a significant number of attacks on students this past semester. Almost every girl you see carries pepper spray. I still feel safe walking at night, but that may be due to the fact that I am a bigger guy than most.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Pros: Easy process, my place came with a parking lot, cost is in the ballpark of average (some are cheaper while others are quite a bit more expensive. Lots of places to rent. Landlords send out flyers to advertise and show you options.

Cons: Landlord experience may differ dramatically. (Some are pricks while others are very nice.)

5 College Sophomore

Academics: I have a CJ major and the workload & curriculum are very reasonable. One thing that could be improved would be adding professors, since CJ is one of the larger majors on campus while there are only 6 professors for the whole major.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Professors are very knowledgeable in their fields and are willing to provide you with extra help. Many of my courses intertwine with courses from other fields, allowing me as a student to make connections between different fields and how they effect one another. Class sizes are what you would expect. Gen Eds are in large pit classes, while others are in smaller rooms allowing students to interact more often.
