Off-Campus Dining: There is a McDonald's right next to the Oaks residence halls. Many favorite food places in Carrollton include 302 South Street, La Salsa, and The Corner. Each are reasonably prices for being a college student. La Salsa has a student discount. Even though Papa Johns is off campus, they take dining dollars which will always come in handy.

Scholarships: Financial aid can be a hassle at any school but our Financial Aid office will work with each student to figure out what they need and when. When completing your FAFSA, I suggest to get that done as soon as possible so you can get your financial aid and federal work study in.

Campus Food: East Commons is the newest dining hall on campus with a sandwich station, hibachi station, salad bar, and pizza station. The hibachi grill is very popular because you pick which vegetables and meat you want in your meal. The Z6 has a home cooked feel to their food. The best meal of the week, is fried chicken. It is a tradition to have it every Wednesday. Einstein's Bagels are fast and an easy way to get breakfast and uses dining dollars. The Starbucks on campus is even better because it is located in the library. The Subway and Chic-fil-a are also very inconvenient because they are on campus and they take dining dollars!

Off-Campus Housing: There are different off campus housing selections at UWG. Some include Carrollton Crossing, The Flats, The Orchards, The Grove, and others. The school itself does not really help, but the students at school because most of them are commuters if they are not freshman anymore. A con would be the parking on campus because the spots fill up fast. I live in the Orchards, which is a neighborhood full of town houses for college students and it ranges from 2-4 bedrooms for about $400-$500 a month depending on the number of rooms and utilities. Each place acts the same way.

Party Scene: Many students go to the bars in The Square, such as The Pub, Plates, and The Tavern. I think the party scene can have a positive impact on the student experience because students can interact with other students. Some houses in Greek Village have the same opportunities for students to have fun.

Administration: Campus is strict when it comes to parking because of how limiting it is and the designated spots for faculty, commuters, and freshmen. Campus police do not tolerate smoking on campus, hazing, sexual harassment, and anything else dangerous.

Campus Housing: Living on campus has many benefits while being in college. I lived in Center Pointe and it was in the middle of campus. It was a good distance from each building. Each residence hall has a washer/dryer, along with fill stations for water. Each room had its own toilet, sink, and stand up shower. You had the ability to move the height of your bed from the very top hinge to the bottom hinge. The cost for a semester at Center Pointe is $2,900. Although it is much, it is worth living on campus and being in walking distance from the Campus Center, Starbucks, and the library.

Party Scene: Everyone parties on Thursdays because most students have classes on Friday's but I always did which was a pain every Friday morning but after while you get used to not getting sleep in college anyways. Most parties are held in apartments but they usually start off as kickbacks end up becoming parties which eventually gets shut down by the cops.

Off-Campus Dining: I personally love fast food so to me it's perfect. The variety is fair enough that there's no need to eat McDonald's everyday even though I find myself eating their often because it's so close. I loved stake and shaking because they had half of shakes which are my favorite. Some of the close restaurants give students discounts if they wear west georgia colors which is such a great deal.

Administration: Compared to other schools University of West Georgia is really laid back. We have our own space and it's our responsibility to follow the guidelines and rules or you'll have a consequences. The police are friendly and helpful in your time of need. Having a social life is pretty common and as long as you aren't too noisey you won't have a problem.

Scholarships: Financial aid was tough because they took longer than I expected. And when I finally got a reach of someone they were a great help. I feel as though everyone should be aware of their funds and have everything in place so it won't be such a hassle.

Campus Food: The food from the beginning was great, I was so excited to be able to eat whenever I want to but after awhile it's the same thing everyday but I still ate there because my meal plan covered eat. I ate Chick-Fil A just about everyday which of course makes your dinning dollars go fast but it's worth it. And I wish Starbucks was 24 hours or had longer hours.

Campus Housing: The dorms are beautiful. I've had no problems living on campus. It was a great opportunity to make new friends and learn about the school.

Off-Campus Housing: You don't hear too many complaints, I guess.

Administration: The police do nothing but send out emails, and still don't find the person who committed the crime. You might as well carry a gun and knife and mace spray and protect yourself.

Scholarships: The school is just plain out BACKWARDS.

Campus Food: Some days the food is great but others it's like they just got lazy and tired of cooking or something.

Campus Housing: Okay, at my school most of the dorms are okay, with an exception to Tyus Hall. That place is an old hotel and really needs to be torn down. They keep saying they're going to renovate, but really it just needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Don't stay there.

Greek Life: As a non-greek I cannot really dwell on how greek housing is

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Most people live in The flats or River Point

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are basically the same restaurants off campus.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: Since Carollton is a small country town, some people go to Atlanta and party. But if students don't have no car there are kickbacks in people's houses.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The strictness at my school is very lenient. In college everyone are considered adults so there are not to many people watching over your back to see if you are doing the right or wrong thing.
