5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: UVM has a campus full of beautiful people. It's actually ridiculous how many attractive people I see every day. Naturally pretty hippie chicks and gorgeous, bearded men are everywhere. Attractive athletes are abundant, too.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Not an overwhelming amount of attractive guys/girls. Pretty average. But the gym has the most hot guys for sure. Be on the lookout...

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: There's a variety of all different kinds of people. The guys are typically laid back and chill, while the girls tend to be more stuck-up.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: It depends if you can find your niche. If you're not meeting the right people through the dorms try student organizations and clubs and such. There's always something.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There are a lot of people that tend to be the same: athletic, decent looking, and average clothing style. There are some hippies, hipsters, jocks, preps, you name it and you'll find it here.

UVM is infamous for its “hippie” population, but all other types of people are here, too. The great thing is there are attractive people from all spectrums, and they break many stereotypes people often associate with who a person is. You are as likely to see a sorority girl raising money for the environment as you are to see a hippie driving a brand-new SUV. There are students sporting Birkenstocks, clad in J.Crew, active in government, or dealing drugs—and any one could be at the top of the class.

It is unanimous—both the guys and the girls are attractive. If anything is missing, it is the mental or emotional connection between people in relationships. As you will learn, freedom often results in sexual expressions, so hooking up and having fun seems to be the trend. There are certainly people in serious relationships, but many want nothing more than a casual relationship. However, friendships between guys and girls are everywhere at UVM—and rest assured that UVM has people who are both brilliant and beautiful. Don’t forget that Vermont is the home of the Civil Union, a place where preferences don’t have to swing in a certain direction to find company.

Hookups or Relationships?
There is a bit of both on UVM's campus, but when the weekends roll around, the former seems to outweigh the latter. Students at UVM love to party, and many students who enroll here were very social in high school, as well. This leads to plenty of interaction amongst underclassmen. So from day one, UVM is the epitome of the college experience.
Dress Code
Anything goes at UVM. Groovy UVers are pretty trendy and there are plenty of hipsters and skaters/riders, and hip-hop-influenced attire is also pretty prominent. There are the occasional kids in suits, and, unfortunately, those awful Ugg boots are also pretty popular.
