4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I love all the food trucks on campus. My favorite is Bento. I also like having a Panda Express so close to campus, and I love the fries from the Union.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: The food trucks are the best.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Needs more inexpensive and healthy options.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: I wish that we had transfer meals like last year. I have lots of friends tell me how great they were. I would have eaten a lot better and a lot more often if that had been the case, since Flex Dollars eventually run out. Especially since anything worth eating is uber-expensive...

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Trying to save money, I usually just bring a lunch. However, I do love the food trucks!

The cafeterias on campus are located in the residence halls. If you live there, you must have a meal plan, but anyone can buy one if they want. The cafeteria food is OK, with quite a bit of repetition that gets old fast to the students at Utah. The ability to transfer meals with your food plan is a nice option, though, because you don’t have to eat every meal in the dorms.

There are two other options instead of the cafeterias, and they are the food court/restaurant-style eateries. One is located in the Business Building, and the other is known as The Point, located in the Huntsman Cancer Institute (for more information on The Point, see the off-campus restaurants section). The cafeteria at the Union Building is mediocre, but there’s a Chinese restaurant, a sandwich shop, Mexican food, and a Pizza Hut there, as well as options for vegetarians. Lots of people eat there because of its central location. There are also snack bars in the Annex and University Services Building. But if you can, pack a lunch because it's not cheap!
