Overall Experience: It had a welcoming environment and programs for new students

Overall Experience: The financial office is not the greatest. They had me take out a loan for $10,000 to cover room and board even though I did not live in the dorms. This semester, they disbursed a loan that I did not sign anything allowing them to do so, and now I have even more debt accruing interest. Not a good experience.

Some of the professors should not be there. They can not teach well, and are unhelpful when you ask them questions. Most of the professors, however, are great. They teach well, are available for office hours or e-mail conversations, and are extremely helpful when you need them to clarify class material.

Overall Experience: I really enjoy the size of Toledo. It is small enough that I see people I know everyday, but am always meeting new people.

Overall Experience: I have a hard time taking part in campus life since I live at home. My college is located away from the main campus so I cannot paticipate in all main campus activities. I am having a hard time transitioning from high school and meeting new friends. I wish I had lived on campus my freshman year.

Overall Experience: The campus is beautiful. The community is very diverse and open-minded. This is a great mid-sized univeristy that I would certainly invite others to consider.

Overall Experience: The University of Toledo is great and classes are pretty good but sometimes professors don't care and advisers are not helpful.

Overall Experience: I am an advocate for the University of Toledo. If students apply themselves, collaborate with staff and faculty, and strive for a successful college career college can be extremely beneficial. The University of Toledo has lots to offer and continues to improve each academic year.

Overall Experience: I like the University. The classes are challenging and rewarding. It is a huge commuter school and it would be better if more students lived on campus.

Overall Experience: So far school has been great, I'm meeting new people at meeting that we are having for school, but none I will probably ever see. I'm rooming with one of my good friends from high school so that's pretty cool!

Local Area: We have a rec on campus that is available to the public and has a lot of different activities. Since we are ten minutes from down town, most businesses welcome us with open arms because we provide a lot of business. Businesses with bad experiences with college students a bit wary but won't treat you poorly. They have quite a bit of different events and shopping areas on and off campus that are accessible by bus. The art museum and other things like that are usually partnered with our school and give students free admittance

Guys & Girls: Most people dress how they want to, there are some people who will wear whatever they rolled out of bed in while others wear the best thing they have in their closets. There are a wide variety of preps, goths, sporty, hipster etc. at the school too so it's pretty easy to find a group to fit into. Most people on campus are interested in sports, grades, and partying. There are an equal amount of people that are there for an education and there for the party. There's a lot of dating, and casual sex on campus.

Health & Safety: Our school requires new students to enroll in a course that raises awareness for sexual assault but there are still incidents that occur. I think our school handles assault on a case by case bases because it doesn't happen often and when it does, it is usually the product of miscommunication. They do offer services for victims on campus, but I don't believe many people use them.

Athletics: We are very proud of our athletes whether they are on varsity or intramural. Some sports are more popular than others regardless but there is still support for the more unpopular ones.

Greek Life: Some of the Greeks aren't too bad but some can be snobbish or participate in unhealthy activities but for the most part they aren't too bad. They do have a Greek village which is basically a dorm reserved for Greek life.

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of apartments surrounding campus that aren't too bad but sometimes they can seem pretty dorm like. The added benefits of them are that you typically get your own room and it costs less than living on campus. There are also houses that you can rent around campus, some of them are in great shape while others aren't at all. The houses behind engineering are usually for off campus frats or party people which can make it a little less safe than living on campus or in an apartment. The prices vary depending on how nice the house is.

Party Scene: There's always a party behind engineering but it's not always safe especially if you intend to drink. Chasers isn't bad if you want to dance and be surround by drunk people. Athletes get in free and if you know the right people you get in free as well. Anyone with access off campus usually go to BG because they have more options and there's a smaller chance you'll run into everyone you know. Bret's is also pretty popular for females and the LGBT community

Off-Campus Dining: Most of the restaurants off campus have decent late night hours but there aren't a lot of options and some of the delivery services are expensive.

4 College Junior

Administration: The police officers on campus are pretty cool as long as you don't do anything that would cause them to be restrictive. They expect many students to drink and experiment with drugs because it is a college campus, but if it gets out of hand, they deal with it. Most incidents dealing with drug and alcohol abuse are dealt with in the dorms and most of the time, the campus police aren't called because the situation can be contained by the resident advisers. The same goes with dorm visitation and noise violations. Most of the time, these incidents happen within the dorms and the police aren't there unless something gets out of hand. They are pretty lenient about parking but you should still be cautious because most students get tickets at the end of the year.

Scholarships: The financial aid office will try to do everything they can to help you with anything you need but it is usually a long process.

Campus Food: The dining halls typically serve the same thing consistently, but it allows you room to get creative with what they provide. This past year, they began to step up their game and created new dishes that were pretty good for the students on campus. The best dining halls would probably be Ottawa, International, or the POD, because they offer a better variety of foods that won't upset your stomach. Ottawa is one of the more used dining halls because it is open late, International House has fresher food and the POD is great for late night snacking. The Union has a variety of fast food joints and restaurants which is nice when you want something different, but they are very crowded because most people hang out there throughout the day.
