Local Area: We have a rec on campus that is available to the public and has a lot of different activities. Since we are ten minutes from down town, most businesses welcome us with open arms because we provide a lot of business. Businesses with bad experiences with college students a bit wary but won't treat you poorly. They have quite a bit of different events and shopping areas on and off campus that are accessible by bus. The art museum and other things like that are usually partnered with our school and give students free admittance

Guys & Girls: Most people dress how they want to, there are some people who will wear whatever they rolled out of bed in while others wear the best thing they have in their closets. There are a wide variety of preps, goths, sporty, hipster etc. at the school too so it's pretty easy to find a group to fit into. Most people on campus are interested in sports, grades, and partying. There are an equal amount of people that are there for an education and there for the party. There's a lot of dating, and casual sex on campus.

Health & Safety: Our school requires new students to enroll in a course that raises awareness for sexual assault but there are still incidents that occur. I think our school handles assault on a case by case bases because it doesn't happen often and when it does, it is usually the product of miscommunication. They do offer services for victims on campus, but I don't believe many people use them.

Athletics: We are very proud of our athletes whether they are on varsity or intramural. Some sports are more popular than others regardless but there is still support for the more unpopular ones.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Some of the Greeks aren't too bad but some can be snobbish or participate in unhealthy activities but for the most part they aren't too bad. They do have a Greek village which is basically a dorm reserved for Greek life.

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of apartments surrounding campus that aren't too bad but sometimes they can seem pretty dorm like. The added benefits of them are that you typically get your own room and it costs less than living on campus. There are also houses that you can rent around campus, some of them are in great shape while others aren't at all. The houses behind engineering are usually for off campus frats or party people which can make it a little less safe than living on campus or in an apartment. The prices vary depending on how nice the house is.

Party Scene: There's always a party behind engineering but it's not always safe especially if you intend to drink. Chasers isn't bad if you want to dance and be surround by drunk people. Athletes get in free and if you know the right people you get in free as well. Anyone with access off campus usually go to BG because they have more options and there's a smaller chance you'll run into everyone you know. Bret's is also pretty popular for females and the LGBT community

Off-Campus Dining: Most of the restaurants off campus have decent late night hours but there aren't a lot of options and some of the delivery services are expensive.

4 College Junior

Administration: The police officers on campus are pretty cool as long as you don't do anything that would cause them to be restrictive. They expect many students to drink and experiment with drugs because it is a college campus, but if it gets out of hand, they deal with it. Most incidents dealing with drug and alcohol abuse are dealt with in the dorms and most of the time, the campus police aren't called because the situation can be contained by the resident advisers. The same goes with dorm visitation and noise violations. Most of the time, these incidents happen within the dorms and the police aren't there unless something gets out of hand. They are pretty lenient about parking but you should still be cautious because most students get tickets at the end of the year.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid office will try to do everything they can to help you with anything you need but it is usually a long process.

Campus Food: The dining halls typically serve the same thing consistently, but it allows you room to get creative with what they provide. This past year, they began to step up their game and created new dishes that were pretty good for the students on campus. The best dining halls would probably be Ottawa, International, or the POD, because they offer a better variety of foods that won't upset your stomach. Ottawa is one of the more used dining halls because it is open late, International House has fresher food and the POD is great for late night snacking. The Union has a variety of fast food joints and restaurants which is nice when you want something different, but they are very crowded because most people hang out there throughout the day.

Campus Housing: It's nice to live on campus when you're an under class men because you're able to get to know other students with similar interests quickly as well as participate in events that are held regularly on campus. The downside of living on campus is that you aren't really free to express yourself and they have many restrictions that living off campus doesn't have. If you are interested in making friends rather quickly, than living in a dorm would be the quickest and best option.

Off-Campus Housing: So many options its hard to pick!

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I hear the parties are okay, I dont party though.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: lts all the normal stuff you'd see in a city.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Not too strict and not too lenient. I never had any interactions with the police.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I want more money, end of story. I know people who did horrible on the ACT while I did very well and we got the same amount of money. (My high school GPA was also higher). But overall Toledo is a good price.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food gets old after having it every week for a year, but for the most part I always had good food. The ice cream at Ottawa was always on point.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I lived in Carter Hall, it was old and they don't plan on having it open for housing again but living there was wonderful. I had horrible roommate experience but that didn't mean the room was nice.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I wasn't given very much help or direction when trying to figure out the financial aid part of things. None the less, when I finally found the right people to help me, it went much smoother.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: You will have to go a ways away for anything significant.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I have a feeling this would be the case in many colleges. It has a lot to do with being among the chosen ones. If you aren't, you're screwed. I get some help but it's highly conditional. I often get offered help and have to pay some of the money back-eg for withdrawing from a class. But the school just counts it as income to me. Most of this is to blame for the whole system but some of it is just because the schools don't understand the complexity of financial aid. Really it's a mess.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a select few local spots but there is a great scene for fast food very close to campus. If you go a bit further there is a mall area with every food option imaginable

2 College Freshman

Administration: The parking enforcement is truly awful. They are ridiculously strict and give out tickets for anything. The RA's are generally understanding. Any drinking policy that gets broken in the dorms goes to the counseling center for the first offense

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: The party scene is alright if you are greek. You have to know a lot of people to know what is going on on the weekends. The bar scene is awful
