The school is modeled in some ways off the British system . And degrees at the doctoral level can be earned as RESEARCH ONLY, where minimal, to no class work, or a Master's degree, for that matter, may not be requirements, to matriculate to doctoral status, but rather the "quality" of that undergraduate degree. Places the onus of scholarship on the student, in collaboration with that advisor and subsequently the Doctoral Committee. Thus, scholarship is rigorous, bypasses quite efficiently coursework, comprehensive exams, and focuses directly on the research / dissertation....does not in any manner compromise the scholarship.

The class sizes are great! Compared to other school who have about 50+ students in one class. Our class sizes are at most 12 students. Encouraging students to talk to the professor one on one. The class participation is great as well.

The faculties and advisers seem personable and knowledgeable. I'll be in the Master's program for Religious Studies with concentration in Buddhism, which is a core and uniquely strong program for this university.
