Off-Campus Dining

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Generic options, but they close so early.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There's tons of different Mexican food like places. Most of them are pretty affordable. They're all close because the town isn't very big anyway. And if you're looking for some kind of different scene, you can drive the 20-30 minute drive to the next town.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a few inexpensive options around campus. The great thing is that most of the restaurants are very accomodating to students. It doesn't take long to drive to nearby Russellville where there are lots of options.

Off-Campus Dining: For a small town, the off campus dining options are pretty good.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There aren't many restauraunts in Clarksville, to be exact there are only 12 and two of those are subways. Off campus dining is more convenient than on campus because there is actually flavor in the food and one can choose what they want to eat. However no many places has an Ozarks discount except Waffle House. The best place to check out would be El Parian and Southpark. Both places have a good variety of food and wonderful service.

In Clarksville, there are a few grocery stores and a few dozen restaurants, varying from American to Chinese cuisine. Some of the food places include El Molcajete, China Fun, Pasta Grill, and South Park Restaurant. There are numerous amounts of food options, but the only restaurants that are healthy or offer a vegetarian option are Larry’s Pizza and Subway. The prices are very reasonable, and the majority is less than a block away from the University of the Ozarks.

A lot of students enjoy traveling to restaurants in Fort Smith, Little Rock, Russellville, and other towns around the college, as well. There is not much of a kosher selection of food, since all that is available is processed meat and rarely fresh ingredients. The fast food selection ranges from ordinary joints like McDonald’s and Taco Bell to Waffle House. Finding something to eat past midnight is rare, due to the early closings in town. During the semester, locations like El Molcajete and Pasta Grill occasionally cater the University when the cafeteria is being used for special events on campus. When students are not studying, on the weekends they choose to hang out at a few of the popular local eateries.
