Off-Campus Dining

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a great number of options available within mostly walking distance plus H-E-B Central Market which has great-tasting foods and options. Cost ranges from place with several nice options and many fast-food options. Healthy food can be found with ease as well. The only downside is the paucity of late-night locations.

Sure, it is great to have food available on campus, but every once in a while you may want to get out of your routine and eat out. Luckily for UIW, it is located on Broadway, where there is a wide variety of dining options, ranging from fast food places like Mc Donald's to more gourmet locations like La Madeleine. Many of these locations are within walking distance of the University. If groceries are what you need, Central Market is right next to UIW, so you don't even need a car to get there.

Of course, dining out is not limited to what's available on Broadway Street. San Antonio is a big city, especially when it comes to restaurants. Whatever it is that you are craving, you will certainly find it in San Antonio. Mexican, Chinese, Italian, barbecue, stir fry, or all-American burgers—you will find these foods and much more in San Antonio. There are also certain restaurants where they let college students take an additional to-go box filled with the same meal they just ate! Dining out every now and then will take you out of your usual routine and allow you the opportunity of leaving the school cafeteria for once!
