4 College Freshman

Athletics: Being a soccer player, I would say the athleticf acilities are good. Campus life does put up flyers for soccer games, but doesnt really encourage other students to go to the soccer games, or even they dont go.

3 College Freshman

Technology: Tech support will not help you if you didnt buy your laptop from school. There are five cent printing fees for each paper you print. But availibility of computers is good.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Haven't has an internship. Im a freshman, and I am currently looking for one, but i havent had anchance to really look intot he programs.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I am content with my math program. I probably wouldd o it again.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Its usually hot at all times of the year, except for winter. Even in the winter, it doesnt get really cold.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Theres one shuttle in the campus. I dont find the need to use it.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek life seems like any other club or association in the school

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Its been good. The fact that im playing soccer here at UIW, really takes the majority if the reason for why I attend this school.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I know basically anyone can walk onto campus with unknown intentions. The campus police should rprobably step up their game.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Ive never been a picky eater, so I may not be the best to ask this question to, because i love all fooood.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: Its a great environment, very green. Im not used to it but I love it. My only complain is the humidity, and how expensive it is.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I enjoy it. As a freshman, all the classes are close to me. Next year, we will be placed in upper classmen dorms, which are very far away from the classes.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Its not a very atrictd campus. There are a lot of regulations which are preached at orientation, but not practiced during the year.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: College students are reckless, no school can have perfect Drug safety, because college students are rebellious on instinct.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: They are just like any other normal club.

5 College Junior

Majors: I love my work-study job!

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: It's there but I don't take part in it so I don't notice at all normally.

4 College Junior

Campus Food: The food is getting better!

5 College Junior

Academics: I love everything about my major curriculum!

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel my campus is very safe! I don't have to worry about anything. The health center is there, but some things they could work on.

1 College Junior

Parking: I don't drive, but the parking is terrible on campus! I feel bad for everyone who has to drive.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: There are a lot of country clubs, I feel like there aren't a lot of pop clubs that are for underaged students.

5 College Senior

Greek Life: We don't have "houses" but as a community, non-Greeks and Greeks are friends and can have events together with out feeling as an outcast.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: The diversity of our student body, the enthusiasm of our professors, the opportunities for study abroad will always make me so happy for choosing UIW.

5 College Senior

Local Area: I was born and raised in San Antonio, but I cannot imagine myself anywhere else as a college student, especially as a UIW student. We get incredible discounts on events, museums, restaurant meals, etc. It is one of America's biggest cities, but it still has that small-town southern hospitality.

The University of the Incarnate Word has so much to offer. From the academics and excellent professors to the life-long friendships, you will not look back and regret coming to UIW. Most of the students really enjoy their experience at UIW. The friendships formed here usually last through college and beyond. There are also more genuine friendships since UIW is a small school, and keeping in contact with fellow classmates is very easy because you see the same people almost daily. UIW is a very diverse school, so it is like a "small world." The memories formed at UIW are endless.

The education is top-of-the-line, as it thoroughly prepares each student to excel in his or her desired field of study. The smaller atmosphere allows for more personal attention for each student. The relationships between students and teachers is very strong, and professors know students by their names because of the low student-to-teacher ratio. Sure, you will hear complaints here and there, whether it be about residence life or the cafeteria food, but keep in mind that everyone has different tastes, and nothing is perfect. Overall, students are very satisfied with their education at UIW and all that it brings them not only while they are in school but after they graduate as well. Professors and advisers make sure that their students are more than prepared for their careers and for whatever life may bring in the future.
