Overall Experience: It's ok, probably wouldn't do it again

2 College Sophomore

Academics: There are very little choices for classes, students don't care about the liberal arts classes.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: UArts is a very diverse and accepting school I would say.

Drug Safety: Because most students live off campus, it's easy to partake in drug use before or after class and go to class under the influence.

Health & Safety: The University of the arts is a Philadelphia college. Philadelphia is one of the most dangerous cites on the east coast so you do have to be a little cautious especially walking where very few people go or alone at night. I always make sure my phone is on and charged, walking with a group, and have my on hand to use as a weapon for protection. My residence hall has security cameras or every floor and has an electronic door so only students can get in. There have been a few incidents since i came here but don't feel threatened or unsafe in the least. Philly is pretty awesome if you get to know it.

Overall Experience: some professors act just like the typical professors but most of mine are pretty chill. sometimes they are hard to contact but are overall pretty helpful. each class has different styles and different vibes to them. One might be really loud and fun and others make you think "why did i ever take this course"? but there is an unlimited amount of courses one could take and the class sizes range from small to large.

Overall Experience: There are thousands of internships and jobs that the school provides for students. The administrators and professors host galleries to display artworks and also puts in a good word for companies that my need artists. It is very easy to promote work and get job opportunities here.

Campus Housing: So I feel like my dorm is the best dorm ever and its only my first year. I don't even refer my dorm as a dorm. It's honestly an apartment. That's how big and spacious it is! The housing process only took a few seconds and the cost of lining is affordable and worth it. The only thing about my residence hall is that its the furthest away from terra hall so the walk may take up to ten minutes so i have to leave a little earlier if i wanna get breakfast.

Overall Experience: My experience is absolutely amazing. I've met new and interesting people, my classes are fun to be in and also expose to other things aside from my intended major, and you gotta love the college parties and events! Sure college is a big responsibility whether its balancing money, study time, or sleep. But in the end it will all be worth it!

Health & Safety: If you feel unsafe whatsoever campus security can escort you across campus.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Classes are usually very interesting and explore mediums.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms are spacious and all have a bathroom and at least a kitchenette, some have full kitchens with stoves/ovens.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It's a small school so there are always a lot of familiar faces but a huge variety of talents, mostly everyone is very supportive and creative.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love that the dorms are in the middle of the city.

Athletics: It's an art school. There's relatively low interest in team sports, but the intramurals seem to address that interest appropriately.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: While there are glaring faults, I think the university does a good job addressing students' needs and challenging students at a time when the university seems to be evolving.

Health & Safety: Uarts really provides a safe environment for all the students and isn't really a concern despite being in an urban background of PHILADELPHIA. There is a safety and prevention courses that is mandatory for students to take in the beginning of their semester which really shows how much Uarts cares about preventing wrong thing from happening.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: At The University Of The Arts I strongly believe that despite having moderately large classrooms especially for freshmen there still is this feeling of the student getting 101 attention. Each individual teacher that I have had experience with so far really provided us with that feeling especially the ones in the arts. The teachers are approachable, exuberant, nice...; you know all of the stuff in a positive matter feeds into the students experience here.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There is a significant amount of students who have come through the Uarts notable arts program especially dancers, dancers that have attributed a lot of progress to the world of dance for ex. Judith Jamison who is now the director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Tommie Waheed a renowned choreographer who currently teaches the students, the list goes on. Uarts just provides such an experience for the young artist.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It average nothing special but could use improvements. Really depends on what housing you receive (what building you are in) this rating applies to the building where majority of the freshmen lives which is furness.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I would definitely choose my school all over again if I could. Each individual program for any and every major is really tailored to the students passion which provides growth and teaches the student true artistry. Just having the components of a conservatory for example really gives the students a push and leverage unlike any other college or university that's dedicated to teaching in the arts. Being in Philadelphia alone is a plus because of the fact that the city is huge on the arts giving the student life here jobs, gigs, dance companies to be in, and a lot of the true artist experience.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: we dont have this in our school

Athletics: dont know much about this
