Class sizes are generally small, which I greatly appreciate. I am in the Biomedical Science Hybrid program at UTRGV, so we have our own classes apart from the rest of the students on campus. The program is called a "hybrid" because we not only meet in class face-to-face, but also continue our course work on an app called TEX (Texas Educational Experience). We were all provided with an iPad where we use TEX. This app is a social platform too. We connect (friend request) with other students in our BMED classes and can have discussions regarding course work. The largest class I've had consisted of 22 students. The courses are great in my program. I learn so much and it's so fun! The professors are all very welcoming and are always willing to help.

I absolutely love being a student at UTRGV! Everyone is always willing to help and answer my questions. The atmosphere on campus is so open and inviting; I've made many great friends because of this! I am in the Biomedical Science program on campus, which enables me to be a part of a tight-knit family. Through the program, I have a mentor and a success coach who guide me along my journey to medical school. It's a comforting feeling to know that so many great people support and encourage my endeavors. Thank you, UTRGV.

The athletics at this university is incredible! Many students get involved with sports everyday and most of them participate in sports events that usually take place at the Rec. Team performance is great and there is a lot of school spirit around, especially at the basketball games; students go in groups and make signs for the players to cheer them on. The athletic facilities are impressive and they allow any student to use them which is awesome and very convenient.
