Overall Experience: Students feel welcomed and included in activities

Overall Experience: The courses offered are great. If the syllabus is followed and the work is not put off until the end the classes are a breeze. Professors are there to help, although some may seem to blow students off at times. The variety of classes is great. Different courses are offered during spring and fall semesters and it helps to know that there are other options. Class sizes are really good as well. Not too many students and the professor is not stressed with so many students.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Students that attend this university are really focused on gathering as much as possible about their future career. Biology degrees from here are a great start to the medical school process.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The police department implemented an app to help students feel safer while walking across campus alone. They also do their rounds around the parking lots and check on anyone who might look to be in need. I personally have not heard of any campus crime at this university. I feel safe here.

Athletics: Since I have been at this university no one has mentioned anything athletic. There is not much commotion about upcoming sports events and the student body only finds out if they keep up with the school newspaper or if they check the university website.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I would definitely choose to attend all over again. It is a great university that is very diverse. The only downfall to it is that professors do tend to focus a little more on their research than on their classes.

Campus Housing: The housing was so clean and close to being brand new! I loved it. There was such a sense of university pride and community pride that I hadn't seen anywhere. The RA's were so incredibly nice that I couldn't believe they were students! I also loved how close they were to my classes. I could wake up about 30 mins before classes and get to my classes on time, with a cup of coffee. On the weekends we had movie nights and plays that each floor would set up. I think I met some of my best college friends through this.

Greek Life: I was not an active part of the Greek Life scene. I had a few friends who were involved in that but it was something that never appealed to me. The Greek life on campus was very active. They were at different events such as plays, home games, big involvement in the community to volunteer their times and effort to make the city great. One of the amazing things about our Greek life was that they were known for helping others out versus just partying. I believe this speaks volumes for my university.

Athletics: Although, I never played any sports while I was a student I made sure to attend soccer games on campus. It was great for me because I enjoy soccer very much and getting to see students play for my school is a great sense of school pride. I also made sure to join inter murals if I had the time. Even though I am not athletic, for me it was more of a way to get to meet new people.

Overall Experience: I loved being a student. After working for three years I have decided to go back to school and get my Master's degree. I have also decided to go abroad and get my master's in France at INSEEC. One of the reasons is because I have missed school and the routine that it provides. I know the diversity and the amazing professors will help me succeed. The experience I had at UT Tyler was incredible and I hope to have the same enjoyable learning experience in France.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The courses have been mostly enjoyable, and there's a sufficient variety to choose from. Most are lecture based classes, but some are seminar-based.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I'm not very familiar with this area, as I'm just a rising sophomore.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The administration gives informative orientation talks on the subject and take effective measures to ensure student safety.
