Health & Safety: Safety is the number one priority! Students are taught how important it is to stay safe.

Campus Housing: I personally am not living with the campus housing. However, I have heard great things about it! During orientation, I did stay in the dorms and found everything to be great!

Greek Life: They seem pretty welcoming and goal oriented all while having fun!

Athletics: Everyone is so involved! You can sense it the second you walk on campus. However, I am very fond of the fact that the school still see the important of grades and the overall atmosphere of the school.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love my school! The overall atmosphere is welcoming and new while understanding of people difference. While I was at orientation, I met many people with stories very different from mine but we all together stood as a whole representing our school. The school, although very big, feels like home. I would choose my school again because it's the perfect place to be yourself and discover that you are never alone in the world. After all, there is so much to be discovered.

4 College Freshman

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far I've only spent a little time on campus but it is really a great campus and I'm excited for more experience Ed

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The journalism school has a very high turnout rate for jobs out of undergraduate

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Everything revolves around Greek life

4 College Junior

Athletics: Focus very heavily on basketball and football

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far, all the faculty and staff I have encountered want to help with anything they can

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life seems to be a thing for mainly white people, although there are so ethnic sororities. The houses are all very nice and located in West Campus. Usually non greeks and greeks get allow well and knowing greeks can get you into all the cool parties. Hazing is a big problem, especially in Asian greek life because these aren't as regulated as other frats and sororities.

Athletics: The main gym is amazing! We have pools and a track and a NIKE store!! The weight room is a little on the smaller side for having so many students but overall the gym is great and I meet a lot of friendly people there.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: What I have learning going into the University of Texas, is that this school has the friendliest, hardworking students who are all very proud to be Texan and attend the school the go to. UT has taught me to work hard and enjoy my youth. Manu professors engage with their students and try to make their class the mot interesting as possible, even with class sizes being large sometimes with 200 students in one classroom.

Overall Experience: I don't think I want to stay at UT for graduate school, but I feel very lucky to be able to attend this university for the next 3 years.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It's worrying to think about career prospects with the job market so poor, but I have faith that my major and my personal drive will get me somewhere once I graduate. I don't know where, but I choose not to worry about it for the time being.

2 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: A girl died on campus this past year, and sexual assaults have increased over the past 5 years. Campus doesn't feel unsafe per se, but they need to take more affirmative action to prevent more cases from happening in the future.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Overpriced, decrepit, and an absolute nightmare. Wouldn't recommend to future students.

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: If you're in the Greek life I could see the appeal, but for everyone else they are a loud, rambunctious group with near to no consideration for everyone else.

Most students agree that they have loved their time here at UT, and they wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. College is the best time of your life, and I can’t think of a better place to spend it than at the University of Texas. Students get a great education while having an awesome college town with everything at their disposal. Don’t try to graduate early. Enjoy your time at UT—go cheer on the Longhorns at all the home games for all sports: football, basketball, baseball, intramurals. See the amenities that the Forty Acres has to offer—the Harry Ransom Center, go to our libraries and see our more than eight million volumes. Go to Gregory Gym and the Rec Center—you have a free gym membership for four years or more—use it.

I came to UT convinced that I was going to transfer to a school in California in the spring. I spent two days here before school started and I never wanted to leave, even to go home and visit my parents and high school friends! I couldn’t leave because I was always afraid that I would miss something because there was always something exciting going on. If you are worried about the fact that UT is so big, don’t. All you have to do is find your niche, and everything else should fall into place. You can find it within your dorm, apartment, organization, fraternity, sorority, or classmates. Although, at times, it may seem overwhelming, UT is not nearly as big as it sounds. All you have to do is make friends, which you will, and the campus will seem infinitely smaller. Come join us!
