Campus Housing: I've seen worse and I've seen better. The dorms here could definitely be more spacious, but they're nice enough. I just wish I had a kitchen to cook and a bathroom to myself. Other than that it is totally livable. I like that there is a dining hall inside my building, a piano for the public's use, and a study room that I can use to pull an all nighter before a test. The people here are very friendly and I feel safe. The only downside is that I'm cramped in this small room with another person for a year. I wish there was more space.

Off-Campus Housing: From what I've seen, off-campus housing seems to be a really great option.

Off-Campus Dining: If you have the cash for it, then eating off-campus is absolutely the way to go.

Party Scene: One of the perks of UT is the very active party and nightlife. There's always something to do on the weekend.

Campus Food: There's simply not enough money in the mean plan. For something that's supposed to feed students, it instead way underestimates and leaves us hungry. With decent food, some can be forgiven. However, the complete and total disregard for convenient hours throws me off.

Campus Housing: Housing can often be cramped, yet provide a decent social environment that helped me learn to integrate myself socially within the University of Texas. While I was not fond of the rooms themselves, there were quite a few amenities as well as very competent R.A. leadership all around.

Greek Life: I hate the sorostitutes and frat guys... They aren't really here to learn, they're usually dumb as soup unless its an academic fraternity or sorority, and they are mean.

Most students agree that they have loved their time here at UT, and they wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. College is the best time of your life, and I can’t think of a better place to spend it than at the University of Texas. Students get a great education while having an awesome college town with everything at their disposal. Don’t try to graduate early. Enjoy your time at UT—go cheer on the Longhorns at all the home games for all sports: football, basketball, baseball, intramurals. See the amenities that the Forty Acres has to offer—the Harry Ransom Center, go to our libraries and see our more than eight million volumes. Go to Gregory Gym and the Rec Center—you have a free gym membership for four years or more—use it.

I came to UT convinced that I was going to transfer to a school in California in the spring. I spent two days here before school started and I never wanted to leave, even to go home and visit my parents and high school friends! I couldn’t leave because I was always afraid that I would miss something because there was always something exciting going on. If you are worried about the fact that UT is so big, don’t. All you have to do is find your niche, and everything else should fall into place. You can find it within your dorm, apartment, organization, fraternity, sorority, or classmates. Although, at times, it may seem overwhelming, UT is not nearly as big as it sounds. All you have to do is make friends, which you will, and the campus will seem infinitely smaller. Come join us!
