5 College Freshman

Diversity: Diversity is the most exciting part about the school, there are so many things to do that will make someone open their eyes to really view the world. From the food to the students there is so much diversity and it is amazing. I love hanging out with people who have different beliefs than me and who are from different countries. Everyone is very accepting of others who are from a totally different world than them.

Drug Safety: Drug safety is not even a problem on campus. There are no students who drink nor do drugs and I love that. I don't have to worry about a student breaking the school law or students getting hold to alcohol easily on campus. peer pressure doesn't seem to exist on campus unless it is behind closed doors which it is not.

Overall Experience: My overall experience is amazing because everything that my school has to offer has been so helpful to my future success. I love my fellow classmates and professors, I also love the different clubs that are offered. Most of all I like the challenge that the school gives because it builds me up for the real world. I love how not many of my classes have a large number of people in it, I only have one class with over a 100 students in it. i love UTA and I will enjoy my college years with no complaints.

Overall Experience: Student careers are very important to the school, so they make sure students are offered the best tools and internships while they study in their desired field. They have fairs where students can go and apply for jobs and internships to expand their experience in their field. Their are many job openings around the school that are great for volunteer hours or just to earn money.

Health & Safety: Campus safety is handled very well on campus. There is rarely any trouble that happens, but when it does happen security is quick to take care of the situation. Personal safety is definitely not a problem, student can walk across campus with no fears at all. That's because campus police arrive much faster than the city police. I feel 100% safe on campus which makes my experience at UTA ten times better.

Campus Housing: Campus housing is great because the school has a program where every major has a special PAL. That PAL is like a mentor and always there for the students, so housing made a change where every PAL gets to live with the students in their groups. Plus it is a great environment where everyone gets to know each other and learn more about each other and the school. I love that the housing also comes already 95% furnished, there is not much that you have to bring except all the important belongings. All of the buildings are well kept together and a nice walk or bike ride from the school. There are also options for those who want to live off campus but close to the school with the different apartment buildings that surround the school. Students get great deals on apartments since UTA shares a partnership with the apartment complexes.

Greek Life: The Greek life on campus is amazing and they treat non-Greeks as if they were apart of their group. Greeks are viewed as the life of the party whenever they are around. the atmosphere is never awkward there is always something to talk about or laughing that goes on. They are a great asset to the school and the different activities that are offered to new students.

Athletics: The school is really big in school spirit. The first day of orientation the cheerleaders along with the basketball players taught the incoming freshman all the sports song. It was a really amazing experience because they were so excited and passionate about their school song and supporting their teams. The coaches have little activity because they let the players build and help each other, they are there whenever the team needs their support and guidance. I love the athletic department at the University of Texas at Arlington, it is another great aspect to the college.

Overall Experience: University of Texas at Arlington is the best school by far, I am very proud of my decision. This school is great because the students and professors are the friendliest people I have ever met. Both are great when it comes to needing help and making sure students are on the right track to graduating. The environment is more like a family rather than a school and I love the idea of there being no problems at all that changes my opinion about the school. My favorite part about the school is how interacted they are with the students. There are always different fairs going on such as, job fairs, protest against police brutality and many more. I can't imagine myself at any other school, I fit perfectly at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Campus Housing: I dont live in campus but seeing the great atmosphere here makes me want to move in next year!

Greek Life: They dont really have a huge impact on campus from what i have seen. When i do see them at student fairs they dont really seem happy to get new recruits.

Athletics: UTA has one of the best gyms that i have seen, also their outdoor courts are amazing and clean.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I would choose to come here again because everybody is so friendly and kind. Most schools students would say nothing and keep to themselves but UTA is different.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Some of the courses are fast paced, but that is to be expected if you are taking higher level course than anyone else, i.e. Chemistry for Engineers, Calculus, and more. The teachers are almost always happy to help the students here and encourage us to ask questions and take advantage of there office hours. Don't expect too much when it comes to English Professors teaching a segment in an ENGINEERING CLASS.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Getting a Degree in Engineering and Nursing here is considered a great thing. Anything else is practically unimportant. Luckily I am in the process of gaining the former.

Health & Safety: There seems to be a lot of petty crimes that happen around campus. There is a clinic and police station on campus though, so student can have fast access to any help they need.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I really do not know much about the Greek Life on my campus other than that there is an entire part of campus dedicated to just the housing of the Fraternities/Sororities. Some of the Band centered Fraternities/Sororities help the Marching Band during lunch and more.

Athletics: My school does not have a Football team, which is a big part of College Sports, especially in Texas. This may be a good thing as it allows more funding for other important things, like an education. Basketball is pretty popular here though, but the most popular things are the intramural sports. Also, for Marching Band, since we do not have a Football team, not many of the student body has even heard of the band.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: School has been okay the last couple of weeks. The campus is not that big compared to others so getting around is easy, especially if you have a bike. One thing though, there are a lot of Indians at this school. And many of them have very thick accents, so it sometimes becomes a frustrating to understand them during class discussions and I do not want to be rude and ask them to repeat what they said multiple times.

Athletics: I can only speak from what I've seen. I attend a school that does not have a football team, so that's a big minus point. However, the volleyball team is great, and the MAC- which is the athletics building is very nice. The building is open to all students and the staff is very friendly.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Being a first-time college student was really a push into the real world. Everything that they tell you in high school about college is true! Luckily I have some amazing professors that are available to help, and they are enthusiastic about their job.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: This school is great! I really love the theatre department and the groups I am a part of.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Many students can expect to get a job after graduation.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel pretty safe on campus. I am comfortable walking alone unless it is night, but that is personal preference.
