5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Like I said before, I love it here! Yes, a few things need to be worked on, but it still is an amazing campus!

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It is a school with teachers and advisors who care.

Health & Safety: I think we have a pretty good safety system, but honestly I think it could be upgraded a little more. I am a little afraid because I am in theatre and we usually have late night rehearsals, so we have to walk home in the dark.

Campus Housing: Thankfully, I got into the hall I wanted! I think they really take your preferences into consideration. I was actually sort of surprised that I was able to be in my #1 hall because I signed up later than everyone else. The housing process is really simple though.

Greek Life: There are many sororities and frats and the people in them are very nice! I'm not in any of those, but I think Greek housing options are good. They have a big house for each group!

Athletics: Our basketball team always does really well in the sun belt conference! (I think that is what it is called). And the workout area is huge!!!

Overall Experience: It is literally so awesome! It is rated in the top ten of most diverse universities in the nation! The people on campus are very caring and sweet. I haven't met someone who is genuinely mean yet, so that's a plus. The theatre is so beautiful. I live everything about it. I love UTA, so I think I would choose it again if it came down to it because, not only do I love everything about my major, but the people are really what make this school so awesome and spirited!

Athletics: Since my focus is strictly nursing I am not familiar with the athletics department. I also take all of my courses online which makes it difficult be involved in any sporting events.

Overall Experience: UTA at Arlington is the best choice in North Texas to continue nursing education. They offer a very flexible RN to BSN online program that is perfect for a full-time working nurse. Thanks to UTA I will finally achieve my goal in completing a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. I would definitely recommend UTA to any future students.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I havent looked into finding an internship just yet, but that is definitely on my upcoming to-do list.

Academics: It really depends on your major, but the workload and rigor of the courses range from average to very difficult. In the classes I've taken, I have been able to learn the subjects taught, but the workload was very difficult to arrange. Time management is an important asset to have in this university. There are various areas where students can go to obtain resources or study time in order to further their knowledge.

Diversity: Since the University of Texas at Arlington is one of the top schools ranked in diversity, a lot of the students are pretty accepting of each other. There are many international students and students from different ethnicities and backgrounds attending the university. Everyone has been quite tolerant and accepting so far.

Drug Safety: Depending on the people that you hang out with, you don't really get to be pressured into taking drugs or alcohol. There is talk about alcohol among students, but it's really private.

Overall Experience: Before I attended the University of Texas, I grew up in a very conservative, small, Texas city where the majority of people looked and acted the same. Although, by coming to UTA I have been exposed to an amazing array of cultures, people, and ideas. I was very timid and uneasy about this change in the beginning, but eventually, I realized that I had an amazing amount of opportunity to change my narrow views on the world. Although I hold my conservative values with a strong will, I am proudly more open to other ways of life. I may not necessarily agree with the actions or beliefs of others, but I am no longer quick to judge and shame. With UTA being the 5th most diverse college campus in The United States of America, anyone truly has a unique opportunity to succeed here.

Additional to learning new social skills, I have quickly realized I am very fortunate to attend a university that shows true passion about the department of my major. I have a surplus of tools, world-renowned professors, and labs at my convenience to help me succeed in finishing my civil engineering degree.

When I graduated from Harrell a year early in 2014, I saw coming to UTA as a boring 4-year long sentence rather than an opportunity; I now realize that between my Alpha Chi Omega sorority sisters, academics, and friends throughout campus are none the less a blessing I would do again in a heartbeat.

Overall Experience: I believe that this school has a lot of opportunities to help students transition into their careers. The fact that the staff has been so helpful thus far makes me feel like I have the support to help me advance. Everyone has been encouraging, and has provided me with the information needed to ensure I have a smooth transition into this university. My advisor has already got my whole schedule together to make sure I'm on the right track to completing and achieving the degree I have been seeking. With this degree I can then move on into the career path I've always dreamed.

Overall Experience: I have just transferred to the University of Texas Arlington so I can't really give to much of an opinion about what I think about the school, and it's professors. I will say thus far I've had a great experience just dealing with my advisor in my department, and whenever I've had a question as far admission goes, and dealing with the staff in the admission and records office everyone has been nothing but helpful and nice. So that makes me excited about going to this school, and completing a degree in exercise science.

Overall Experience: All of my classes were very diverse in terms of class size and style of professor. My only complaint is that I didn't like how strict a few professors were.
